+x+x+xluongo really should step up. He's been good for so long people complain about his consistently but the burnout 46 round ecl makes it impossible to be consistently creative 100% I personally think a move to continental Europe would really benefit him. Somewhere like Italy or Spain. Agree. Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Turkey. He isn't good enough for the top teams of Serie A and La Liga - yet. Maybe the bottom teams? Good enough for serie A easily. Somewhere like an udinese or atalanta he'd walk into

In the Russian World Cup, Milligan was just as good as Sains.
Milligan appears to be retiring from international football though.
Spira formed a good partnership with Sains at the Asian Cup. He needs to sort his club career out.
Apparently when Sains was last in Holland he was competing with Bart Schekenveld for a starting position in the Eredivisie - tough opposition!

Another bit of good news for Trent as well, his good mate from Zwolle and Kiwi International Ryan Thomas also made a transfer to PSV on deadline day, that'd be pretty cool having another person who can speak english to help mould into the team better... Even though most dutch people speak english. regardless still cool.

+xGood move. Hopefully he can kick on from here and become the player he should have become 2 years ago... Big couple of years ahead for him. He needs to be the man who leads Australia to the next world cup finals. This it's only the Eredivisie but with CL he should be un the window. Best of luck to him!

The Eredivisie is where I wish most Australian's would go over lower leagues in England, Scotland, the Middle East & China.

+xRyan, Mooy, leckie, rogic, Sainsbury, degenek (if they qualify), Arzani (if he starts playing), gersbach (Europa league potentially). Just missing a good number 9. A genuine good one Behich and Oar are at decent clubs also. Mclaren europa league potentially also

With Cahill well and truly out of the way, you think Maclaren would give it a red hot crack being a favoured number 9. Juric is just too laid back / casual for me , also injury prone, therefore I can not see him really trying to dominate that position.

+xGreat news. Finally a club worthy of him. Stoked. Socceroos finally getting back up towards the golden gen days club wise. When I first read this I scoffed at it. But on pause, you’re not far off.We now have 6 players playing regularly in either top 3 big league teams or regular Champions League teams. That fact snuck up on me. Which 6/7?

+xFrance game left a lasting impression on me. He and Milligan cracked the f*cking whip that game. I've not seen our defence maintain such shape over 90min.

+xDaniel Schwaab and Nick Viergever were the two CBs in the Dutch Super Cup three days ago, neither look like displacing them will be a formality. Schwaab with 31 of 34 Eredivisie games for PSV in their last, title winning season, and Dutch international Viergiver has just come across from Ajax where he played 12 games last season, but 29 in the season before that. Hope this doesn't pan out like the Inter loan, although I'm sure Sains has gone there with the intent to play. Ahh Schwaab. Experienced but always a liability in Germany. How time ha flown. Remember his debut with Freiburg. Sainsbury is known by MVB so he should get the nod soon enough.

Exactly ;) for all this talk of yesteryear ppl don't realise that this is quite a good generation of Aussie players. Ppl like McLaren, juric, Irvine, behich and especially Luongo could step up too. Mooy and ryan will likely goto larger clubs at some point too.
