He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Given these trialists it seems to be that Ikonomidis will be signing for someone else (My bet is City where he will warm the pine and become a 'What If?')

Mckinna mentioned we had been in talks with an Aussie forward but talks dragged on and we decided to move on. I've thought it was jair Eduardo for a while but certainly interesting there are still others in the frame.

There aren't exactly 1000 uncontracted Aussie forwards out there

Interesting Joel's comments about jair Eduardo. I was convinced for the last 8-10 days it was jair but now Joel's comments have made me doubt it and think someone has come on the market or change of heart last minute.

Is Ikonomidis playing at all at the moment!! Honestly this kid needs to play and show what he has... he really should be playing at a great club!! And lots of game time... he would shine and give the Socceroos some class!!

Not sure too many people realise just how good this guy is. Scored 16 goals and 3 assists in the K-League last season. Got himself a pay day in China. And obviously didn’t enjoy it much, this could be a real coup. Him and Vargas working together could be insane for the jets!!

Could be anything, looks to be a pacey inside forward to make up for Nabbout. Austin and Sheppard also expected to sign, does anyone know if Sheppard has an AUS visa? He's born in England.

I'm guessing Sheppard is an injury replacement for champness to begin with and as far as I can see he is a visa. First season in oz was 2014 and since then he spent a season in top finland comp
