Ironic the ffa is trying to duplicate what it systematically tried to destroy in active support and atmosphere. So many people were trying to explain this but fell on deaf ears. Even on here there were absolute muppets who argued against flares and the importance of active support. Interesting turn in events

I guess someone could attempt to get in touch with O'Rourke to confirm he said, but he's probably too busy listening to the fans to comment. 

Its not really an attempt to duplicate atmosphere, rather to provide a sanitised form that won't carry the same negative connotations that the media love reporting on.

What makes football culture and atmosphere so engaging and unique is that its largely organic and somewhat "anti-authoritarian" by nature.  The fact the suits don't get that after all these years defies belief.
