Massive storm came through Brisbane this afternoon causing a late delay to the match and obviously turning some fans away. Still looks like a decent crowd considering the conditions here this afternoon.

+x14,859 in Brizzy. Geez that's good in that weather. Honestly Brisbane crowds have never been bad, they've just had 2 things work strongly against them. One was the constant negative talk about the owners not paying player wages, and the second is their huge stadium that's too big for any a-league club which looks shit on tv. As you say it's a very good crowd in this weather.

84,761 for R1 for an average of 16,952
Victory, Roar and Nix over-achieved imo.
Adelaide and Glory were disappointing.

Perth average home attendance is just below 9k so 10.2k is not too bad.

Roar predicting a 20,000+ crowd for Sunday based on ticket sales. They got it right with yesterday’s attendance allowing for the weather which would have taken 2-3,000 walk ups away. So R2:
Derby 30k Roar 20k Adelaide 9k Victory 24k Mariners 7k
That’s 90k or 18k average.

Was really surprised that so many turned up yesterday. That was one hell of a storm that ripped through town. With the roar rascals deal, the wleague game, the club photo, near perfect weather forecast and our team clearly much more entertaining to watch, we should be cracking 20k sunday against the Nix for sure.

Pretty solid numbers! Victory Perth should be a big crowd, but won't because it's on Sunday 7pm and forecast to bucket down.

The Honda hype is real! the FFA have been trialling this spot for a couple of years now. its had a negative affect on crowds and i don't think the prime time slot has helped improve TV ratings. why can't they compromise with 6pm on sunday? its still prime time and will enoucourage more families. as for testing new time slots with expansion, do you know what I would like see done? have 2 games at 7:50pm saturday. 1 game invloving 1 of the 3 melbourne teams and 1 game invloving 1 of the 3 Sydney teams. and both games are broadcast on FTA in the local market dependant on the location. Thats my way of getting FTA ratings up.

There are regular reports that Western Sydney Stadium is ahead of schedule, with the Eels expecting to play at the ground in April.
WSW have 2 home matches in April against Sydney and Melbourne V. Surely the derby stays where it is, but I'd think the club would be trying to move their match against MV to the new stadium.
