Brad Jones was injured for Liverpool.
All other players are with the national team preparing for Asian cup.

Going off of that then , if the boys make the AFC final. Oar, Sainsbury in Holland miss a definite 2, possibly 3 games. Maty Ryan and Troisi in Belgium miss a definite 2 games. Leckie and Kruse, 1 definitely, possibly 2 games if they restart games on the Monday the league kicks back off Aziz in Turkey will miss 2 games. If Brilliante was here he'd miss 3 definite games on the ass end of it. So all in all, pretty shitty anyway. The amount is reduced but would create some doubts in the players minds coming back. So in conclusion your hope for them being Asian Champions would be probably the best outcome if they really wanted to put the doubts at rest. Also wouldn't hurt to pump up the profile of the AFC Cup Edited by highkick05: 1/1/2015 03:49:54 AM

Luongo, Jedinak and Davidson are the only ones who are leaving while there clubs are playing games still. So the only problem with Asian Cup is England who refuses to have a winter break because of $ value of games around Christmas and new years Edited by highkick05: 1/1/2015 01:55:54 AM German leagues resume Jan 30. West Brom seem to have Pulis coming in as manager. A top manager who will hopefully be able to teach Davidson a thing or two and he may take him under his wing. He is known for changing teams up which could mean anything for Davidson. Yup that's what they were saying yesterday on SBS & ABC news. Waiting on Jedinak and a few others to arive today. So which Euro Leagues stop playing ? none? Whens this 'winter break' I keep hearing mentioned on Fox Sports / BT Sports

Also sounds like Pardew is looking at defensive midfielders to bring in to Palace so not sure how highly he rates Jedi. Has a history of mancrushing on mediocre British players.

I think he is refering to the fact that he was a major part of the team that qualified us (even though they only jsut qualified), but go overlooked as soon as Ange came on board. I am still not sure why he retired from the nat team. Ange must have told him he was never going to be a chance? which is a shock because he is still a good player in his own right and not over the hill .. (Bresc is in the oil leagues and still gets a run) Ange probably told a lot of those socceroos that they would no longer be automatic selections and then a few took the opportunity to retire off their own bat. I think this was the case with guys like Holman, Schwarzer, Kewell. He probably also said the same thing to Neill who obviously decided to keep trying.

Holman had shitty attitude, thats why he wasn't picked. Im pretty sure it was even publicly stated that he went picked because of his poor attitude. He probably assumed game time was his divine right or something.

Besides a couple of goals at the World Cup, thank fuck we no longer have to endure Holmans useless rubbish. Yeah, he was a master at creating turnovers, pity most of them were ours....
