1232: BREAKING NEWS He said last week at his unveiling on Friday that he would like to introduce himself to the Liverpool fans at Anfield, suggesting he wouldn't be in attendance for today's derby match, but new Reds owner John W Henry IS at Goodison Park. So early in his reign, and already the lies have started. That's a joke, by the way.

Quote:Roy Hodgson tired of Agger
Liverpool boss red-hot with rage over Aggers match injury.
The news of Daniel Agger's new injury after Denmark's match against Cyprus on Tuesday, leaving Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson red hot with anger.
According to several local Liverpool media Hodgson thoroughly sick of Aggers injury serialized, but it culminated when Agger chose to fly home to Denmark to play soccer match in place to recover completely over his back problems.
Yesterday Hodgson hinted that Agger did everything to come home and play for Denmark, and instead eroded Liverpool.
"Agger was out two weeks with the injury he got against Sunderland. But he was miraculously ready to go home and play for Denmark, where he was injured again, said with evident frustration of the Liverpool manager.
I am not aware of what his status is, he said with a sigh before the match against Everton.
Liverpool journalists who follow the club on a daily basis is no doubt that Hodgson's patience with Daniel Agger's many injuries is nearly over. As he was talking about the teams injury situation, he did not mention Daniel Agger.
"Konchesky has come back fine and so is Fernando Torres. We get two good back, but lose one good in Kuyt' said Hodgson and that's therefore the only bad news (Kuyt injury) in his squad status. I can understand his frustration. Dagger has fantastic ball skills but he is way too injury prone, and never seems at his best. In terms of out and out defending Skrtel is better than him, but I like having him in the team for his skills bringing the ball out of defence.

I've also read that Johnson has a thigh injury and that he has been involed in a sex scandal. Not sure what the truth is. Maybe they are related.
Johnson isn't the best defensively, but he provides a hell of a lot going forward.
That said, he has been in poor form of late and HASN'T provided much going forward, but I'd still be surprised if he was flat dropped.
Hering that Hibbert is RB, so hopefully Kon and Cole tear him a new one

From LFC homepage:
PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Afellay has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Liverpool and Manchester United.
The highly-rated Dutchman has been linked with moves to a host of top European clubs including Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Hamburg but the 24-year-old has now revealed he would prefer to join Liverpool or Manchester United.
He told Dutch newspaper Orange : "Playing in the Barclays Premier League would be best for my prestige. I'd like to play for Liverpool or Manchester United , the top-level prospect for any player."
Afellay, who can play on the wing or in the centre of midfield, is out of contract at PSV at the end of this season.
Cracking little player and could be just what we need. Any thoughts?
