we are actually batting well to pace who are bowling a touch short
Game is completely different though when a spinner is on top. They take longer to get tired and the other end just has to keep things tight
if we can just see off a few more ashwin overs he will probably start bowling more loose deliveries

2 for 60 that session so we narrowly lose 2 in a row. Game is probably 50-50 now. Next session is key

+xSlow going by the Baggies. we can bat for 5 more sessions if we are good enough. Doesn't matter how slow you go given the match situation

+xLovely pull for 4 by Handscomb off Shami! Handscomb saying he has tweaked his technique. Where exactly? He still does not cover his off stump.

I cannot remember Ashwin getting as much out of any pitch in Australia when he has visited before.
He is getting drift, loop, dip, bounce and sideways spin.

Awful lazy, late cut, played by Handscomb that resulted in a caught behind and his dismissal.

So often wickets fall immediately after a break.
There goes our batting for 5 sessions.
Handscomb you played a silly one day run down to third man shot.

+x I cannot remember Ashwin getting as much out of any pitch in Australia when he has visited before. He is getting drift, loop, dip, bounce and sideways spin. He has been listening to Warne in commentary about bowling differently in Australia. Took him long enuff. What is this his third series?

+x5-120 at home is shocking! To be fair this is not an easy deck to bat on. It has a good covering of grass.. so there is plenty of seam movement.

Baggers, Paddles or Mike R were trying to convince me of Bumrah’s quality.
He has a nice yorker at over 140 kph!

Shot Paine!
Great late cut for 4!
He has a much higher Test batting average than FC average.

At Bellerive in recent times Head has batted much better in the Shield than the Marshes or Handscomb.

It cut off the seam. The tiny amount of movement ones are the easiest to nick. It was also an excellent length by Sharma. This is the time when we find out how much Steve Smith is missed. See how many have of our blokes made starts then perished.

+x I cannot remember Ashwin getting as much out of any pitch in Australia when he has visited before. He is getting drift, loop, dip, bounce and sideways spin. Ashwin has been more dangerous than Lyon. Proving to be the difference.
