.I and most other purists will never totally accept this championship as long as CA continues to omit a red ball component. It does tho continue to produce a generation of white ball specialists. ...and rare records such as below. Sydney teenager Oliver Davies (pic) has shattered records after hammering an extraordinary 115-ball double-century (207) on the opening day of the Under-19 National Championships in Adelaide. In a stunning display of power-hitting for NSW Metro, Davies bashed 17 maximums, incl. 6 in the one over, against a hapless Northern Territory to register 4-406. Rising leggie Lloyd Pope skittled WA in reply for a measly 122. Redback skipper Henry Dall (109) and vice-captain Bailey Capel (138) combined to smash WA. ACT accounted for Vic Country while Qld took care of Vic City. Tassie were too strong for CAX1.

I've asked the mod panel to provide us with a mod for IC from the regular posters who post here, but I haven't heard back from them. We probably haven't needed them so far. The mod names appear in the football section of Inside Sport/442. Many don't post much anymore. They are McJules (only mod I've seen post here), Stifler's Mom, Joffa (used to follow cricket), Paladisious, Bowden, Benjamin, with the second, fourth and fifth names being the only active posters in the 442 football sections ATM. Kevin Airs owns the site forum. The names are posted at the bottom of the Cricket home page - the one where we view all the threads. Just click on the names and a Message ikon will appear close to their name on their personal account. Click on the Message icon to send them a message.

+xThis is the perfect way to produce Test match quality batsman. Do you agree tho that CA has to introduce a red ball component into these nationals. We do not want out future batsmen preferring short format cricket over the Baggy Green...given the obscene amounts of money that T20, specially pays.

No I did not. We are on the same page friend. Is it any wonder our emerging batsmen fall into bad habits when almost all of their junior cricket is white ball.

CA has named a 14-player Australia Under 19s squad for a four-match tour of Sri Lanka in January.. The squad, named following the 2018-19 CA Under 19 National Championships in Adelaide, will arrive in Colombo on 30 December to play three one-day matches and one three-day match against Sri Lanka Under 19s.
Included in the squad are the quartet of Will Sutherland, Zac Evans, Jarrod Freeman and Bazter Holt who all represented Australia at the Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand earlier this year and will enter the tour fresh from strong performances at the recently completed U19 National Championships in Adelaide. Holt scored an impressive 333 runs @55 during the Championships, Sutherland made 299 runs at @43, while Evans claimed 13 wickets @16. Also included in the squad is emerging batsman Oliver Davies.
Jake Williams (TAS) 348 @58, Connor Smith (WA) 320 @53, Blake Nikitaris (ACT) 322 @42 can all count themselves unlucky.
