Good guy Awer.

Great guy. Does plenty of charity work for the refugee camp he grew up in too.

Slow mo on Kruse's pass to Gainnou at the end and Gainnou's look of astonishment. Valuable lesson

Agree, a good result and we should be happy. We had opportunities to score a few more too.

yeah #9 is a worry as always. Wonder if we should put leckie there

Off side timing was poor today and that made a difference

Weren't at there best against Jordan either.

This is not what one would expect from Australia.

It's going to take time to completely click.

A lot of tournament winning teams don't hit their straps until later in the tournament anyway.

Gotta say, Rogic did step up tonight. Bozza maybe a little harsh on him..Wasnt his best game by any means but we needed him to deliver and he did tonight.

Would start Giannou next game.

What makes you think I don't care?

I care more than you. I don't see a lot of capability in the Australian NT.

We were playing Syria and beat them by the skin of our teeth. Houston, we have a problem.

And it begins

"#FIFA We object to arbitration in the match between Syria and Australia, and refereeing errors and a change of referee and pitch changed the outcome of the match for Australia, We demand an investigation into the replacement of referee Rafshan Irmatov and his departure at a difficult time in such an important match. We ask for an examination of the grassland that was not suitable for the Syrian team, while Australian players seem to be wearing shoes that cling to the long grass, so we saw Syrian players fall during the game, while Australia's players are steady."

3-2 (should be 3-1) in an away game in the middle east is actually pretty decent against a team that nearly knocked us out of the world cup 6 months ago

Credit to Kruse before that last goal, kept possession when it was badly needed.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Cyprus plays in Europe so I wonder if Syria and Australia really are stronger.

You have Cypriot Teams reaching the Quarters and R16 of the Champions League.

You see, you keep saying you are better, and then you lose to Jordan. I doubt Cyprus would lose to Jordan or Syria.

Cyprus plays in Europe so I wonder if Syria and Australia really are stronger.

You have Cypriot Teams reaching the Quarters of the Champions League.

They are because Cyprus only have 3 players playing in a decent league.

Cypriot clubs haven't done that in years and have more foreign players than locals so that point is irrelevant.
