Here's a bike with square wheels. Win the Tour de France Osieck out Ange out Arnold out At this stage I think we should have a reality TV show where the winner gets to be the Socceroos coach. Would make no difference

It's not the coach. We don't have the players or the talent to beat these sides as we use to. We are in a state of regression and PEAK FOOTBALL. Others developing and progressing and getting better and even better than us.

Was shit, is shit, will continue to be shit. Giving him a second chance after 2007 was moronic, to let continue would be worse.

If it’s not Arnie fault and it’s the cattle, then we shouldn’t be paying Arnie 1.4m a year to have no influence... Sorry Arnie but we can probably just hire anyone and get the same result.

Any clown with a whiteboard could have achieved the same results. Arnold added no value to the team.

I think Arnie was an excellent A-League coach, but the jump to international level is beyond him.

1.4 million for friggin what??? For a lack of imagination in tactics. For poor management etc etc
Arnold is ridiculous on the sideline which shows me just what is going on in his head.......chaos.....chaos......walk up the side line again.......chaos .....chaos and that reflects on the team. The man needs help.
It is the players, yes but it is more Arnold.
People said it's the Man U players too, and yes that's true to a degree.....but look what happened when they got rid of that goose The special jerk.
Comparing Man U players to our current squad is unfair I know but it's a point worth making.
Arnold Out.......for ever and don't bring in Scumrat because it'll be the same road.

Oh we lost this morning, so I guess I have to say Arnold Out, sorry peeps Kinda like the attacking style of play my only criticism from yesterday is too much hoof, at times there were five waiting in the front line for a ball from the back - middle of the park empty which makes every pass a 50/50, I'm sure that'll stop when Mooy and Rogic are back though

+x+xNothing's fucking changed, he's still shit in Asia and FFA should be lynched for turning down Bielsa. Do you honestly think he would have done more with this squad? Yes this current squad should have performed far better than they did. Even with injuries, we still had enough quality to play better than we did and tactical naievity was blatent.

Arnold was the treasonous spy who tried to rat out Harry kewell at the 2010 World Cup. Never forget that

I’m always reluctant to use injuries as an excuse, other teams get them as well. I didn’t think we were that bad this morning but at the same time we could just as easily have been dumped out in the round of 16, We should have done better but we move on now. The WC qualifying campaign is a bit of a worry, Ange struggled with the away games but was still picking up draws, this time we could be constantly losing on the road.

Were we tactically naive today? I thought we were excellent at controlling the game, just lacking the final ball/finish as we have in every socceroos game for the last 2-3 years. How else should Arnold approach these sort of matches that differs to what we saw at this Asian cup?

Yeah, at the end of the day the UAE were depleted too Pretty much as i said at the start of this forum GA doesnt have the tactical nous to get any more out of the squad but if you ask me he is actually a determent to the squad because there isnt an excuse for lose to Jordan and UAE He should not of been given the job in the 1st place but now that he is there i question anyone who would want to take the roll of socceroos coach in the current state we are in. I'd sack him and put a call out to the few good managers that are out of the job and see who is willing... but the FFA wont do that because Gallop and boys are clueless

How else should Arnold approach these sort of matches that differs to what we saw at this Asian cup? Got dominated by Jordan? Lost to the UAE? Scraped past the Uzbeks? Come on man this Asian cup campaign was a bit of a let down Take your GA bias out of it and look at it with some perspective it isnt like it was a dodgy decision or unluckiness that we lost both against Jordan or the UAE the goals we coped were our fault and poor defensive organisation you cant defend the players or the manager for the way we conducted ourselves on the pitch. Though GA doesnt have a great squad he has had two Asian cup campaigns and if you ask me the 1st was a big fail the 2nd was not as bad but still a fail

Arnie has got alot of work to do, his tactics got found at against semi decent sides and still talked about the expectations too highly, it should be a wake up for him.

I'm ok with Arnold as coach, I just wish he would keep his dickhead mouth shut. Every single time he goes to the media and talks a big game he ends up with egg on his face. It puts unnecessary pressure on the playing squad. Usually when people go out of their way to talk a big game it means that they have a deep seeded self doubt. He needs to grow up, stop playing the brazen Aussie larrikin and let his coaching do the talking.

Bring him in as temp coach/consultant when the boys are in camp....maybe he can teach them a thing or two about quick transitions and finishing

Out of his depth. Strange choices. Did not add anything to the team. With bvm you really felt he value added in the short time he had, with Arnie nope nothing. Could not solve tactical problems and instead was found out by other managers. 70 shots and 6 goals 2 loses, a draw and a win...all against teams ranked below us. Costs twice what ange did, who actually won it...
Not good enough. Needs to go now so a new manager can come in and get things set before the next world cup qualifiers. I dont care if they are aussie or not but they need to have a decent track record outside of the A league

Won’t be watching NT games whilst he’s our manager.
How we could force out someone so passionate about Australian football with a clear plan on developing as a nation for a petty, naive, bitter old man is beyond me.

I agree with @huddo, being in the Middle East is a perfect excuse, it’s not like we’ve ever done well in this tournament when it’s been in the Middle East before............. oops, 2011 finalist in Qatar Do the maths, our 2 worst performances in this tournament occurred under GA = Arnold out
