Most expats bring back Vegemite or Tim Tams when they go back to Australia. I'm fucking loading up on chicken salt. Squires has now got me craving it.

Chicken twisties and burger rings. I don't bring back fruchocs because my mum smuggles them to me.

I gave my mrs a shot at Vegemite. Was a bit busy and left the room before telling her how to do it (margarine/vegemite ratio). Hear this scream from the kitchen. Just damn well caked the shit onto bread and CHOMP. The fucking scenes.

Yep. What is exactly the point of Melbourne City?

Originally there was suspicion it was just an email marketing database and a means to to navigate FFP and taxation issues.

Now they seem to be happy to chug along and just exist. However, one must acknowledge their investment (albeit small comparative to their overall wealth) in youth training.

which brings up a deeper issue of what they stand for and which direction they are heading. As a Victory fan i get a little bit of joy from their continued jogging on the spot. But as a Football fan, they could, and should be bringing so much more to benefit themselves and the league. Out of the 10 teams, City and WSW are doing the least in terms of bringing vibrancy to the league.

Hopefully WSW turn it around with the new stadium next season. I like Duke and Yeboah.
As for MC I think they are totally lost (but do they even care they are lost?).

They've had a succession of good players and dour managers. In a 'development' league with no relegation and the resources they have they should be bringing exciting flair imports and developing and playing an attack-minded brand of football. That should be their point of difference and attraction IMO.

It's like we should go back to eight teams, one minute people want Wellington out, then CCM , now there's no point in MC, thankfully they have a fan (you).
If ppl in this forum ran the league there would be only a few teams left.

And another Simpsons reference in the 2nd-last frame. David Squires is a Simpsons die-hard.
