I went to cancel my Kayo this morning; easy as.
Simple “cancel subscription” button, gave me until the end of the current billing cycle, said they were sorry to see me go, and of course asked me why I was leaving?
In the options box is an “end of season” choice so I selected that and they asked which sport so I entered A-League and I was gone.
Outstanding stuff.
Ive loved Kayo although it’s not quite an Optus Sport but it was easy and reliable.
The drawback for football of course is now the rights are valued on a 7 month subscription not a 12 month subscription which might mean a 30-40% reduction in revenues to Fox which will flow on to rights valuations.
But i’ll be back on Kayo. Huge success for me.

This is what is great about streaming, it’s easy to cancel. Fetch tv packages are also easy af to to cancel and resubscribe.

And clearly Kayo get it because they were all set up for the possibility of end of season cancellations, which is great. The FFA Cup starts in August do I might rejoin then or I might just watch games for free on Telstra.

I'm going to keep mine as it's not that big of an expense and gives me random sports to stream when I am bored.

Just on this, I signed up for Kayo on a trial basis, and loved it, so decided to pull the pin on my foxtel subscription, paying nearly $70 a month for sport and HD. As Kayo were charging around $25, it was a no brainer, Foxtel then offered to reduce my bill to $19 a month for the next 12 months. Pretty shitty I have to threaten to cancel to then be told "Im eligable for a loyalty upgrade" when i've been a member for nearly 10 years. Once this $19 a month deal is up, I'll definitely shift over to Kayo sports.
football innit.

I have enjoyed my Kayo experience too. I might cancel for a few months but if I do then I will be back. I particularly enjoyed the Kayo minis. Hope they continue next season.
Full trophy cabinet (but yours looks a bit empty) ! Reigning BACK2BACK 442 A League and World Cup (Mens and Womens) Tipping Champion - so yeap, I do know best !

Just got a new TV, the guy who installed it recons kayo will be a Samsung app real soon, good cause I'll be cancelling foxtel, also most the channels have more ads then FTA, and although they have added streaming of sorts it comes nowhere near netflix at $11 a month , so Netflix and kayo $36 a month as apposed to $112 I pay now, no brainer.

Yep definitely made sure to take the two seconds to click "the season has ended" and wrote "A-League".
The more people that do this the better as they'll know how many people signed up for the A-League.

Kayo was great for a while from overseas with a VPN but now they've done something to fuck with that so might as well cancel as well.

Kayo for me is only needed for comprehensive coverage of Socceroos games which are quite rare anyway. Hopefully the next set of games are on fta and their streams tend to work on vpn.
My football on Youtube is a fantastic A League service.

My football on Youtube is a fantastic A League service. Yep, that's the only reason I got it as well. Asian Cup and WCQ's don't get shown here but now they have definitely done something to mess with VPN users so it's useless to me. Used to be fairly issue free with ok picture quality but now it just fucking stutters every 15 seconds.

At least with a VPN it gives me a range of options for certain streams around the world. Kayo was absolutely gold during the Asian Cup. I actually forgot about the SMS to an Australian number. Will have to give my sister a call...
