Great actor that played Octavian. He had the physical/character traits described of him in ancient writings down to a tee.

History Fact: In his meeting with Cleopatra, Augustus (then known as Gaius Octavius) did not blink in their meeting, as a sign that her charms that worked on Caesar and Antony would not affect him. In the episode of Rome that portrays this meeting, Octavian never blinks or breaks eye contact with Cleopatra.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

HBO's Rome. Criminally cut short after two seasons.

Stargate for me, love me some hammy sci-fi.

Oh I do love me some sci-fi and I enjoyed that show.
I was very disappointed that they ended Firefly, it was starting to get really good with the girls arc as well.
The remake of  Battlestar Galactica was brilliant, I still have all of that on DVD.

I'd bring back Rome and actually make it an accurate and dramatic historical telling of events, and not just some fuck-fest with plebeian wittiness peppered in.

I would also bring back Dexter but with any seasons past the Trinity Killer being wiped from existence. That show deserved a dark-as-fuck yet sensible ending. As soon as it went incest-y and Deb found out who he was it went south very fucking quickly.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

If you haven't seen it already, you might like The Expanse? Really great (albeit a tad hammy) sci-fi show.

I'd bring back Rome.

Will check it out!

Definitely Star Trek wins in the ham stakes, I am sad that the new one has next to no ham. I love how Stargate turned every conspiracy that was even slightly in the public consciousness into a plot line. Looking forward to seeing the new Twillight Zone remake, I really hope it's goofy.

I've heard seth MacFarlane's show is like star trek but even more Hammier  got to watch it.
Also I wish they bring back tekkaman blade. Cant find it on any anime streaming service

chasers war on everything would not work today lol

Some of their old pranks are quite funny but you can imagine the shock if they happened today.

It's a bit ironic it was an ABC production whereas nowadays their shows try way too hard to be politically correct that it's painful to watch.

Yeah so many shows when you watch back then, would be absolute nightmares in this day in age of whinging on social media lol.

Can you imagine a Milo Kerrigan/Full Frontal show starting next month?

My God I could see the comments now lol.

i feel like comedy tv shows are not as common these days for that reason most shows on netflix are dark dramas
