Rockdale team lack mental toughness. 1 all 2nd half, apia come out firing, Rockdale looked shell shocked. Figon misses a sitter about 5m out, Payne seemingly pushes a defender in the back that goes unpunished to score and the Rockdale boys seemingly gave up. Not the first time this season the team has lacked fight when the going got tough.

We are somehow sitting 4th, this season i must say is the most unpredictable NPL competition i've seen ever, and i think the top 5 will go right down till the last match day. 10 clubs out of the 12 are still in with a shout for a top 5 finish.

That red card probably ended up costing us the win, I’m not sure what Charles said however must’ve been bad for a straight red. I also thought there was a chance for a penalty late around the 80th minute, will have to wait for the highlights to get a better look.

Any substance to the rumours Sydney United will be docked points? 

It would certainly make it interesting in the run home to the finals. I've been told it relates to the Marconi game, but United are appealing the decision, hence no deduction yet. But who knows, nothing but heresay at the moment.

Fuck, we were brought back to earth on Saturday night, 3-0 loss at home to Marconi, we were dreadful. Without McGing at the back we looked shaky from the start. Hopefully just a bad week as it was our first loss since Marconi in the first round. Still a chance for top 5 with 3 of our 4 remaining games against fellow bottom half sides.

Hard to see anyone catching Wollongong for the league and APIA seem the only likely opponent to give them any grief in the finals.

we have taken 4 points off Wollongong this season, but we seem to be very inconsistent, i am surprised we are somehow in the top 5.

the top 3 have cemented their positions, 4th and 5th is still up for grabs.

Our season is done, barring a miracle. Can't see us winning another game this season let alone making the finals. 

with the NCIP no longer, will clubs like Rockdale, olympic, bonnyrigg etc look to change there names?

I assume so, ours somehow managed to remain on our logo the whole time...

Be dumb not too. All of the Ethnic clubs lost supporters after years of forced Anglo conversion therapy.

With Hakoah pretty much relegated this year baring a miracle, looking at clubs that are in for promotion from NPL 2, Wanderers 1st grade have been dropping points severely and have now lost their promotion spot to North Shore Mariners. With North Shore a relatively new club to the NPL, would their home ground be up to scratch? 

the synthetic pitch yes obviously, the spectator facilities no, there isn't anything but standing - I haven't been at the ground for a season but I doubt anything has changed that quick.

Why wouldn't it be? There's no criteria that's different if you play NPL1 or 2. They let heaps of clubs get away with not following the criteria anyway, no seats @ Northern Tigers, no scoreboard @ Edensor.. even VSP would be in violation of it with no scoreboard or seats on field 3 lmao

thats true re VSP 3, we played there the other and its a joke having no seating for that place ! I can understand some club grounds not like as mentioned but VSP, bloody ridiculous.

I seem to remember a few years ago northern tigers got knocked back from promotion over lack of facilities, I could be wrong but I think it saved someone from relegation.

Edensor will be going for an upgrade this off-season. A new Synthetic Pitch, and scoreboard. 

2-1 Loss against Marconi yesterday, gutted we didnt get the win, probably the only piece of silverware we would of got this season.
