I hope many matches end in draws meaning we should hopefully at least get through in 2nd place if disaster strikes. Really don't want it that way but sometimes it happens.
I remember Iran drew 0:0 away to Turkmenistan last time but then they killed everything else.

It would seem the higher ranked sides are away today. Did Kuwait manage to flip theirs around and host Nepal today? Mongolia lead Myanmar 1:0.
It seems set up that the underdog can get a good home start instead of the stronger teams building and decent lead and killing it off. Personally I wish Australia could have those home games early to settle and demoralise the opponent. That's the drawback of pot 1.

Apparently Indonesian fans are hurling stones at Malaysian fans. That group is insane and the memes are hilarious.

Syria 5 Philippines 2
Jordan won 2:1 vs Taiwan. They led by 2 early and may have parked the bus. Taiwan scored on 81 and I hoped they'd could get a miracle draw. Decent in that Jordan only got very little goal difference benefit here.
Thailand Vietnam ends 0:0

Geez that Taiwan keeper did his best.
First Jordan goal. Did the keeper have the ball? I don't feel he did and it seems to be OK but I've seen that blown a lot as a foul. Taiwan looked very poor in attack. Jordan with tonnes of chances.

Heartbreak for India as Oman come back to win 2:1. Tajikistan with a vital 1:0 home win over Kyrgyzstan. Palestine have shocked Uzbekistan 2:0.

Almoez Ali with 2 already vs Afghanistan. I think he'll have a great WC and will likely be at a club like Hoffenheim very soon.
Bahrain 1:0 early vs Iraq.

Personally I wish Australia could have those home games early to settle and demoralise the opponent. That's the drawback of pot 1. Nepal were drawn to play 3 of the first 4 qualifiers at home but have swapped those to away games as their stadium is undergoing work. I would have preferred that Kuwait had to travel between WCQ games rather than having the luxury of 2 home games with the 2nd against us.

Jiloan Hamad cleared by FIFA to play for Iraq, after playing for Sweden.
He played for my club last yr and imo should have been in Swe WC squad.
He he is very good. Left to go to $$$Korea but seems to be in Croatia atm until next transfer window.

Tajikistan with a crucial away win. They certainly won't threaten Japan but they'll go hard for 2nd.

Nepal leading 1-0 at halftime.. I wasn't expecting that
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

UAE make it 1:1 in Malaysia. Singapore have beaten Palestine. So far it's played into Saudi Arabia's hands nicely.

So Yemen have drawn 2:2 with Saudi Arabia. That's the same group where Palestine beat Uzbekistan while Singapore beat Palestine. Awesome!
