I still think this Roar squad will be one of the worst squads of all time.

Fair enough. We had players from lower leagues elsewhere. It is a fascinating sub plot what RF has done with this squad. He seems to have picked some hungry players which is similar to the Ange move. All the best for the season (except against us). Its finally here!!!!!!

Good luck and all of the best to Roar as well. You guys deserve a good season after last years debacle.

I think BR will be notably better than last season (it would actually be harder to be worse than what they served up under Aloisi), but I just don't see them being a threat. I don't think they'll concede a fuckload of goals and will be relatively well-organized, but they will also struggle to find goals. ROD is a decent enough striker at HAL level, but will he get sufficient service? I think DWL will actually be the club's top scorer, and will probably move elsewhere after this season. The signing of Holloway is a bizarre one though. Supposedly he's top quality, but his record is terrible and I don't think anyone would be too surprised if he fails to make an impact. I've got BR finishing 7th, but football is full of surprises so who knows!

If you'd asked me a month ago, I would have put us 4th or 5th, but our squad on paper looks pretty decent now. I can't see us getting close to sydney though. many other squads look much improved (WSW, Brisbane, CCM), but they are coming from a long way back. WU is the one that is hard to get a handle on.

Finally get to see League 1 FC in action.

Actually expecting a loss for Perth in round 1 based on pre-season. Obviously can't read too much into pre-season as Poppa plays around with the line ups and just tries to get minutes into everyone. But the lack of goals from Fornaroli in pre-season worries me a little. 

I could say the same about Roy O’Donovan to be honest - those type of players come good when it counts normally

Don't know why but I think City might finally do it.
I think Sydney will struggle but have good enough players to not slip too far down.

My 5th-8th are all pretty interchangeable I reckon and will depend on injuries/draw/form/VAR/luck in the last 5 rounds

Samuel Green must be an Uber only kind of guy as Ola is not in top 15 scorers or assists. 
Perhaps he ran the simulation with Ola out or injured to help out the other teams.

After three rounds I’m predicting a wsw vs Adelaide final they are the two best teams imo and victory to miss the top six 

One good call and 2 bads.

Not sure wsw will always get that lucky. Looking to be Perth and Sydney again for me.

Seems everyone (including me) had the Nux for dead last or at very least not the top. Currently, they seem good enough to stay in the top six.

You have to really commend Ufuk Talay after the Nix were gutted last season.

Though hopefully he pulls a Rudan and goes to an actual club that matters.

Most overestimated Roar.

Almost impossible to believe they can worse than a John Aloisi team, but then again it's the same ol' club.

Real surprised tbh with their positive off season it's all just gone to shit once again. Maybe us Brisbane fans are just greedy now after the successful years under Ange, i feel for you Wellington, Jets and CCM fans.. 

Nobody overestimated Roar except for Roar fans. Most people had them 7th (which is where they are now) or lower. If anything they have been underestimated because I had them for the spoon.

I thought Roar would perform a lot better, expected some Fowler magic or something and thought they could easily make the six

RF made poor player recruitment with low quality players from a sterile league but not his fault as the club / owner knew and permitted this and are therefore responsible.

To RF's credit his starting XI now include more players with flair and skill selected from the squad, albeit there's no one with star quality.
