+xI try to feel sorry for the Mariners but they've insist on starting Simon the past 3 seasons so it's really their own fault They are looking for a visa striker in fairness, whether they manage to sign one remains to be seen.

+x+x+xAdelaide starting to get the momentum. and Simon is off lol, what an idiot. I’m an Adelaide fan and that is never a card imo. This. But realistically, he'd have gotten sent off sooner or later anyway knowing Simon lol Got away with a blatant tackle from behind in the first half as well. He walks tbe tightrope every single game he plays so its hard to feel sorry for him. He went in all elbows like he does in every challenge he ever enters into. You make your own luck. CCM should have been down to 10 in tbe first half as well let's not forget.

+xCan someone explain the refs behind the goals? Is that something that is allowed I have never seen it They are called Additional Assistant Referees. Before VAR, they have been there to help the central referee with the inevitable confusion in the penalty box. They have been used in world cup games, UEFA champions league knockout and finals. IMO they are on the wrong side

+x+xSo experimenting in a semi final seems to be paying off well. Yeh no idea why anyone would want to experiment in a semi final. How many players are you guys missing from what you'd think would be in the starting 11? Maria, Boland, Izzo and hopefully a new DM.

Can’t read article but do you mean Sydney? NSW has usually has 7. Would prefer to see Newcastle/NNSW lose a spot given their poor performances. Are Sydney losing a spot next year because Wolves won NPL or is planned to be like this every year.

Footballnsw loses a spot along with Northern NSW, with South Australia gaining a spot and the other going to Western United, will be interesting to see who loses the next spot when Macarthur come in.

I don’t know if they can merge 2 but I think fairest would be something like- take away North Qld direct spot and merge with SEQ qualification. At the same time move GC to play off with NNSW. So Qld 3, GC/NNSW 1 or just take one off Qld and remove the Nth Qld automatic spot. They don’t perform.

WA also lost their 2nd spot, all 12 A-League clubs will be in the 2020 Cup including Macarthur. Edit - my bad I thought one of the posts above was official news, I have just seen the 2020 cup will have the bottom 4 from the 2019-20 A-League playing off for the 31st and 32nd FFA CUP spots.

So the teams that finish 10th/11th in the A-League this season will play off for a spot just before the R32 commences, and the season after with Macarthur in it'll be 9th v 12th, 10th v 11th. I don't mind that solution...but I can't wait for the Nix to get the flick, if not in the A-League at least in the cup..the Canadian teams don't compete in the US cup competition.

A FFA source told The Australian it was highly likely the 2020 cup would be called off due to the uncertainty over the completion of the A-League, NPL and lower level competitions throughout Australia.” https://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/football/ffa-cup-to-be-next-casualty/news-story/a29a05e0d00857bcff74a27a6ca69fdf
