Jeggo sat too deep against such an opposition, although may have been instructed to do so for practice... Don't remember him trying to play any killer passes or releasing anyone when on the ball (he has these skills but too afraid??)
Thought Jeggo, Mooy and Amini all need to attack the space with the ball. All good to sit deep to receive but pointless playing a side or backwards ball to a guy 5 yards away when you have no one on you. Attack the space, commit a man, keep moving looking for the ball back (you have cover you don't need to give an backwards option... They already had two or three but none pushing on)

He'll have other chances but think Leckie is pretty safe in returning to the wing next game

Borrello doesnt look ready, definitely needs more club time. Probably hasn't had that many senior minutes since his ACL.

Thought Hrustic looked great when he was on, 3 assists as well. He is a creative player with a good touch. In contrast, I thought Amini looked very poor, but I have never been impressed by him in any internationals.

Borrello certainly can sit out a few squads as Ikon offers more. Hrustic has essentially replaced Rogic while Leckie and Mabil are locked in.

First nine games for Hrustic at Groningen this season: 3 goals, 1 assist. First nine games for Louis Suarez at Groningen in the 06/07 season: 3 goals, 1 assist.
Granted, he was 3.5 years younger at the time.

Amer Mabil coping flack on here is ridiculous, he didn’t do that bad and had some nice touches especially with Smith who had a good game.
Lets be honest our front third creativity in the last decade since Kewell left has been below standard and along with Hrustic and Borrello who will get better along with the soon to come back Arzani and Ikonomidis it’s good we got players who have x-factor who are capable of creating a good scoring chances in the final third.
Hopefully we will see the likes of Italiano, Folami, Armenakas, Najjarine and others around the youth team fringes develop as they also bring that x-factor to the table in the final third we need going forward into future campaigns.
With respect we used Leckie, Kruse and likes of Oar, Ruka for so long but are inadequate in creating goal scoring chances on a consistent basis and this has shown as our biggest weakness at the World Cup last year.
One with brawns the others with brains, now which one you prefer?
Overall with what we had tonight it was a better performance, slick combination but also wary that the opponent will get harder.

+xHrustic play on the wing or midfield at club level? Usually wing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OKS47y8LEYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5wJWcbTPSs
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Gotta have them all in the squad. They're classy. Mabil, Ikon, Hrustic, Arzani. Amini, Goodwin and even Maclaren can make way.

Its a shame Leckie can’t play as a right back, he’s not adequate with that final third options anymore.

Boyle will return very soon which is another bonus. Him and Arzani won't be ready for the jordan match I don't think but it will be great if there ready in January for the next qualifiers. Is keep borello in the squad. Goodwin shouldn't be there though. Next squad Luongo and sainsbury would most likely return. Amini shouldn't be there as he offers nothing but is one of arnolds old ccm players so will keep being picked. Holland deserves a go playing the highest level of any aussie

Iraq now topping Group C with a 0-4 win in Cambodia, Bahrain v Iran later tonight. A draw there would blow that group way the fuck open.

Palestine still holding Saudi 0-0 at home as of the 57th minute, another group to be left in contention.

A home win for Qatar against currently second-placed Oman would really make them comfortable in Group E, but hopefully Oman continue their winning streak and get the three points away. Oman with a game in hand due to Qatar's fixture swap.

He still looks as one of the more solid CBs we have. Petratos also seems to be well down the pecking order he probably make way when others return.

Milligan will make way soon enough. How many great options do we have now?! Bodes well even if injuries occur.

Ive got Leckie, Boyle, ikonomidis, Mabil and arzani as our wingers. Leckie is that third striker also with maclaren and taggart. goodwin on the fringe. Would like to see more. borello out. hrustic I see more as Am option for the future.
id have oneill over luongo, atm. mooy, Irvine, jeggo, amini the other midfielders. Plus rogic for small spells.
dfenders look to be grant, Degenek, sainsbury, soutar, Behich, Smith, 1 other. Dellbridge or susnajr maybe to get a call up.
