Chelsea Football Club Women are delighted to announce the signing of Australian forward Sam Kerr on a two-and-a-half year deal.
Reckon she'll play a game in the AFLW though? SOURCE: https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2019/11/13/sam-kerr-signs-for-chelsea-fc-women?cardIndex=0-0

Does anyone think she is overrated? She was exposed at the World Cup when teams sat deep, she was almost was non existent. In the local league and in the US, most of her goals are on the counter when teams are playing a high line giving her ample space and time.

If it's that easy she wouldn't have been that far ahead of other players consistently. Top scorers by season https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NWSL_records_and_statistics#Top_scorers

I heard her described as more of a second striker playing off a CF than the main focal point (which she usually plays for the national team). She's the female equivalent to Griezmann.

Yeah, whenever i watch the Matildas, always seem to be underwhelmed by her. Maybe my expectations are too high or she is slightly out of position like you mention. She doesn't stand out like i expect her to.

Look your only as good as the cattle around as well, no disrespect to her fellow Matilda team mates but some got more found out than Sam during the WC. She can only play whats in front of her and whats given and played wide alot as well. Marked out heavily always take into account and yes the expectations. With the exception of the Messi/Ronaldo who can do it on their own types the rest of the top strikers doing well have others to play off, Salah/Mane/Firmino/Suarez/Son/Kane/Aguero's etcetc know what I mean. I expect the chelsea squad will be a good step up and bloody good luck to her but not when they play our Liverpool Ladys ;)

What was interesting at Cobham was the pitch was marked up as per guardiola half spaces.so expect to see Kerr in those zones.
