I can see O'Toole going to the Jets tbh. I don't rate him but he would be cheap and the Jets would be desperate for a LB.

Have not been hugely impressed, apart from when he first appeared on the scene, but would take him as we're skint. Currently only have Bobby Burns as a natural left back and Merrick barely plays him.

He’s not a bad LB but really struggles to get an effective cross in which nowadays is a coach killer in most set ups.

Armiento would be crazy to go to Victory. Even though Kurz knows the kid, the pressure on his job as manager wouldnt make him play the youngster.

A list has been made by Hertha for players to leave in winter and Leckie is on it. Rumours they're after Xhaka and Drexler so they'll want to free up their wage bill big time. This is typical of Klinsmann. He likes a clean out. I wonder where Leckie may end up? I can see a loan for the short term at least.

He's either been injured or suspended. But I rather Elvis than instadobras

He has a great cross on him and has a reputation of being a gun set piece taker.

Yeah he won't crack the starting XI but should get game time when the ACL rolls around.

+xThat’s a bit cheeky for a league two club It's funny seeing fans of League Two/SPL clubs shit on the A-League when in reality most A-League clubs would beat those sides easily.

+x+xThat’s a bit cheeky for a league two club It's funny seeing fans of League Two/SPL clubs shit on the A-League when in reality most A-League clubs would beat those sides easily. There’s not even a comparison - no A League club would survive a 50+ season in England with just 20 adult players.
Equally transpose any L2/SPL club to the heat of Australia and the Cap and they would struggle.
Honestly these constant comparisons and this need to somehow validate the A League by giving it a favourable overseas comparison just reinforces our lack of football culture and insecurities.
The only place any meaningful comparison can be done is in the ACL where it’s clear the best Australian clubs are a notch below those of Japan, Korea and China and possibly even Thailand.

If an A-League side (well maybe not Roar or Jets) played a one off match on neutral ground against a League Two side or most SPL sides, the A-League side would win easily.

Disagree with that as a premise.
The very basic principle of football is, unlike many other sports, any one side can win over 90 minutes - it’s the very essence of Cup football. So the result of a one-off game is meaningless in determining absolute quality of one side over the other, let alone one league over an other imo.
Im not sure what the point of this latest comparison is - SPL I haven’t seen for years but does seem to have declined in quality but then again - MacLaren is easily above A League quality but barely managed a goal every 4 games in the SPL (1 in 3 in you include pens), does that say anything?
League Two I would be surprised if they had the quality the HAL has but then again where are you comparing it too? The lower end of League 2 only spends around $2m on player salaries whereas the upper end is $7.5m+ and often playing some good stuff.
In the current seasons only SFC would stand any comparison. Everyone else is pretty inconsistent from city down.
The NBL tried this recently claiming they were the second best Basketball league in the world - no evidence offered - so it would seem Australian sports fans care about this stuff. That would explain why NPL crowds are so poor too.

You hit the nail on the head. They cannot be compared. Frank Arok wanted to play the return leg against Scotland at noon in Darwin. Instead we played at night in Melbourne. Conditions play a huge part in the quality of play - whether it is for a one-off game or competing in a long grinding season with limited players.
