Confirmed A-League Movements

Tommy Oar - Macarthur FC
Mark Milligan - Macarthur FC
Adam Federici - Macarthur FC
Denis Genreau - Macarthur FC
Matt Derbyshire - Macarthur FC (VISA)

I'll have another crack at keeping all our Aussie transfers in one place. Please keep us posted on others i've missed and ill update the thread when the move has been confirmed via social media.

I was initially going to list all the W-League and Aussie womens movements, but i ignorantly don't know enough, and quite frankly there are already too many to keep track of. But if anyone wants to write them down i'm happy to include them in another section in this post.

Macarthur supposed to also have signed Milislav Popovic, Liam Rose, A Jovanovic and J McGing as well.

Thought I'd repost this from the other thread as there are so many players worth discussing. I've edited the comments

Ryan: Brighton survived and  can't see any move happening. What he does need is a good number 2 to keep him on his toes.

Vukovic: He's returned to football and any idea of a move is off the table.
Federici: Should return to A League for a final season. Macarthur it turned out to be!

Grant: Is he ever going to attempt an overseas move? It'd be a great test and that hair would work for the marketing.

Souttar: He'll return to Stoke and then we're not sure what'll happen next.

Degenek: Very at home at his favourite club. You'd have to think other clubs will be looking around. Spartak and unfortunately the Middle East has called again.

Sprianovic: Turned 32 the other day. Suddenly seems young if he plays until 37. Where is he?

Susnjar: Hello?

Ryan: Massive new year ahead. He needs immediate minutes to improve for Tokyo.

Sainsbury: European football beckons. It's probably best to stay another season and see how it all goes. Surely after a good second season numerous European clubs will show interest.

Wright: Sunderland have signed him permanently and it's the perfect deal for all parties involved.

Behich: He still has a deal but he really needs a move. They'll try and sell their big campaign with European competition as a chance for minutes in the league but they already did that this season.

Jack Iredale: Released by Carlisle despite a good season. The new manager wants to change up the entire squad. He should find something in England or may end up in Scotland.

Elder: Should stay at Hull regardless of their fate. Minutes matter and he's finally getting them.

Smith: Currently on loan at Cardiff but not playing much. He needs to sort a permanent deal where he can fill the left back spot nicely.

Amini: Available on a free and ready for the step up. Bundesliga 2 or a bigger club beckons. Links to Turkish club

Lyden: Promoted with Swindon but off contract. Hopefully a new deal will be signed as he's been offered an extension.

O'Neill: Burnley extended his contract again. What a nice safety net.

John Iredale: Has another 12 months to go. It's recovery and then going again. He'll probably stay in Wolfsburg in the 4th tier but a loan to a 3rd division side would be the better test.

McGree: Probably a good time to move to Europe. Rumours of AEK Athens and Fenebache.

Dougall: Available on a free. Probably a good League One job ahead. The type the Mariners need to target if he wants to come home. Could return to Holland.

Irvine: Available on a free. Twitter storm from Championship club fans who want him. I feel the Bundesliga would suit him well.

Hrustic: Deal still ongoing. Robben joining could be a blessing or harmful.

Petratos: Twitter talk linking him with AEK.

Rogic: Will stay in his comfort zone and it'll be another underwhelming year.

Armenakas: What's he up to now?

Leckie: There has been talk of Germany, Japan, England and even the A League. A young child and a wife who may want to set up a more permanent base after 4 different clubs in Germany could see the A League come sooner rather than later.

Mabil: Let him stay and give European competition a shot. Surely then the opening to the next level will come.

Theoharous/ Italiano: Anything could happen at that level. Expect another development year or cutting ties immediately.

Maclaren: On fire again. Probably best to remain and consolidate it for the national team. He'll undoubtedly be pining to go abroad again.

Borrello: Definitely needs a move away. Probably a loan to Bundesliga 2.

Folami: Stevenage down. Return to Ipswich and then work out what's next.

Giannou: His deal has ended. He would be a fine A League marquee. Being closer to Arnold's view would do no harm.

Arzani: Appears to be on the cusp of a Loan to Utrecht.

Austria Wien midfielder James Jeggo is set to arrive in Greece on Monday (10/8) and sign for #ArisFC. The 28 year old Australian international is expected to pen down a 2+1 year contract with the Kitrinomavroi.

This came from absolutely nowhere! Good luck. 5th in Greek League.

Duke chasing money in Saudi arabia

He's got a kid on the way, just wants to set his family up for the future. He's 29 and probably reaching his ceiling as a player. Good luck to him I say.

Duke chasing money in Saudi arabia

Always makes me chuckle when I see people refer to the Saudi league as if it’s Qatar or UAE, where the standard is indeed shocking and players only head there for money.

The Saudi league is a higher standard than the A-League, in my opinion second in Asia above the K-League and just below the J.League.

Their ACL results don’t lie.

If Duke manages to maintain his current form in Saudi, it puts him in a stronger Socceroos position than if he maintained it in the A-League, as he would now be performing in a higher quality league.

Yes the money will of course be better, but so will his national team chances.

Some of the players in the pro league should be in europe but the money offered in the Saudi pro league makes it easier to stay

I wouldn't call it very easy ex pat life style one bit but for the $$$$$$$$$.....with the limited time you have as a player, a compramise nothing more or less.

Feels like ages since Leckie publicly announced he would be leaving Hertha. Really keen to see where he ends up as I think he still has one more ‘big league’ move in him, although he is turning 30 in 6 months.

Really think his style of play would suit England perfectly.

Mabil being linked with a move to the Championship, with Brentford leading the race.

Would be a great move imo as Brentford are a quality side who finished 3rd this season and were unlucky to not be promoted.
