Thomas James was a loose cannon in England, woke up to himself and was outstanding playing for Wolves. Got a look at Glory at close range but
Popovic couldn't care less even if he had Christian Bale at the club because his mindset is his mindset. James should go to Wanderers, they need more strikers there. D'Agostino should go too unless Popovic has infact left.

At least the acting in club promotional material would be on point lol :)

Anyone?

I entered in Newcastle Herald aleague news and got a paywall first go, then a second time I did not get it.
Most of the article I got was about JJ talking about all the obstacles that were faced with covid19 and how resilient Australian football was, some leagues even chucked it in.
The ffa also learnt not to be complacent with regard to the Melbourne teams and the stupidity surrounding them not being allowed over the border in trying to get them here for this restart happening on time.
Most interesting though, was that JJ then mentioned that aleague and wleague will start in the early part of 2021, not the original Dec timeframe. They are working on the actual starting date atm.

Are you sure that was the right article? This is with Carl Robinson

An article on the world game website appears where Carl Robinson talks about various players, Petratos brothers, Jake Simmons, Noah James and others, very complimentary. Arroyo and Ledley currently off contract. Players like Bobby and Wes not coming back. Waiting for FFA to come out with new salary cap changes for up coming season..
Carl wanted 4-5 new players and he is going through that atm.

Wish we had players with the ambition like Nagatomo has had through his career had a great 2011 Asian cup then got a move to Italy then to Inter, next onto galatasaray now he's signed for Marseille at 33.. He would have had massive offers from China throughout his career.

But who’s signing the players if Poppa is leaving?

FMD Australian clubs are shite at this - no coach, don’t sign players then!!

They signed a few months ago, just waited for season to end. However with Poppa gone, wouldn't be surprised if they decide to a U turn.

I agree, but I'd replace China in your sentence with the Gulf. Given their historical animosity, only four Japanese players have ever been signed by a CSL club (and one of them was a naturalised Spaniard), compared to 38 Australians.

Definitely says a lot that he's still opting to stay at a good level in Europe than cash in in the Middle East, even at that age, as he surely would have had plenty of lucrative offers throughout his career. Marseille wouldn't be the worst place in the world to live, mind you.

That makes more sense. Poppa going was a last minute thing due to Glory’s financial wobbles of late

If I was an A-League club, I'd be steering well clear of him now. The moment things don't go his way, the toys are thrown out of the pram and he walks out.

For what it's worth: I'd have liked to have seen him given a chance. Maybe he didn't show much in training, I don't know, but he obviously didn't do/show enough for Popa to think "hmmm, this guy might give us something." Regardless of what's happening, it's his job to show up to training and to try and change the coaches mind. Not walk out, run to the media, and moan about how hard done by you feel. Shite attitude, I find it funny that Perkatis was released straight away to go back to Sydney Croatia, but Thomas James is still waiting for his. Must be because Perkatis acted professionally...

Yep, while James had a bad attitude and threw the dummy. No wonder we are being dificult about him. Trust the full story not to get reported.

Poi bo who is the equal of er pupone,  not quite zizou and a long way from the atomic flea, might consult his connections to see if he can get bimbi a start in the Azurri serie a, with all his success as a gaffa.

Its interesting that Japan's experienced NT players have decided to stay around in Europe instead of chasing the money moves in Asia like our boys.

Different priorities? Or just that the Japanese players are a tad more ambitious than the Australian players at this rate? It doesnt harm they have ability but its seems they look more hungry to test themselves even further.

Atkinson and Nabbout confirmed by Perth Glory

Atkinson a very neat little get. Thought he was out-standing the other night.  Nabbout with less pressure may just have another good season.
