I like it. Curious, how do AU fans feel about the amount of navy blue and the darker red?

Always liked Adelaides kits. I’m not keen on the coloured sleeves here but overall this is a pretty smart shirt 👍

Probably the best ever 'first up' kit from a new kit manufacturer in the A league.
This kit is schmick.

This is a winner in every way possible. Looks like a professional football jersey unlike some cheap ones in the past. A new brand to Australian football, and a record deal for Adelaide. It ticks every box in my opinion.

I'm surprised the Chinese sports brand wanted to be part of an Australian club, considering how things are going between the 2 countries.

They're new to Australian football and through Adelaide exposure they could open up many more opportunities for the brand to work for state league clubs across the whole country.

New Socceroos kit is out. Weird how little of it you can see in the article though. The collar on the home kit looks alright, but I'll reserve my opinion until I can see more of it. https://www.socceroos.com.au/news/nike-reveals-a-sustainable-australia-national-team-kit

Really odd to launch a kit without any photos showing it in full. They actually look really good from the photos available. Fingers crossed the shorts are frickin green.

Shorts are green, it says it in the Socceroos article. I was thinking everyone was nuts from the leaked photos though saying the trim was black . looks like I was spot on for the home kit with my PES design. Except the collar

Just had a look at the new Socceroos home kits at Rebel. Looks very much more like the image on the Rebel site and less like the pictures in the Socceroos article. There isn't any of the raised/subtle patterning around the sleeves, which makes it look a lot plainer than I thought it would be, based on the launch photos.

The Roar kits last season had that kind of patterning in the fabric and that was replicated on the retail versions. It's a shame, as when you compare the two, the one in stores looks like the Best and Less version of the proper kit, and makes it a lot harder to want to part with $105 for it.

Ready for this? They're not making a women's version of the national team away kit for purchasing. Confirmed by the Matilda's Twitter account. https://twitter.com/TheMatildas/status/1306775582856757249?s=19Any girl wanting to buy a kit has to wait until 2022 or buy a blokes version. That is pretty fucked.

I like a simplified MV kit. As pala said, get the V nice and big, classic adidas stripes, then just some subtle design points that add class. Why mess with a clean and sharp look.

Just wait til it gets fucked by some huge black or red square or something. I hope we're still with metricon as it needs to be simple to balance out the V. This one looks good though, if the sponsor fits then all id like is something little on the back of the neck, not sure what though.

Ideally we'll have a delay in locking in a shirt sponsor in the current climate and they'll put out a batch with no sponsor like they did a couple of years ago. Would be an instant buy for me if so.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

I’m really liking all the kits released so far. Adelaide’s home is class, MV’s home looks good, Macarthur’s are nice and simple, Jets are clean.
City’s teaser video had a collar button on their home kit, and their away is white with red pinstripes. They’re looking good. Umbro usually come up with something decent for Roar so here’s hoping.

I think MFC home kit is a bit boring City kits look good. Will Perth go back to white purple stripes?

Wait whaaaaat? The FFA own the rights to a song the teams fans sing?.. That can't be real? Do they do it for other franchise's? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. Can the wanderers make t shirts that say For Wanderers I sing? Or does the order of the words not count?

Can the wanderers make t shirts that say For Wanderers I sing? Or does the order of the words not count? This is a symptom of a franchise model. The clubs do not own their own IP. However, you may be reading into this wrong. The FFA would not have registered the trademark on their own volition. WSW would have requested the FFA do it on their behalf. Because it contains the word 'Wanderers' it would be more likely to be approved if it is registered by the same owner of the Western Sydney Wanderers trademark, which is the FFA. This should all change once the league independence is finalised and clubs take ownership of their own IP.

Victory should change their main kit to white and go with that type of design forever. Looks much more classy and like a football kit (instead of a rugby jersey).

+x+xIs it confirmed that Socceroos shorts are green? Yes. On both kits. What do the shorts look like? What do the socks look like? Is FIFA seriously the only way of finding this stuff out? What a joke... Further to this, no women's away kit, no kids away kit. Absolutely appalling. I was disgusted enough not being able to buy the Women's World Cup kit for my neice who loves them as they only made the men's kit available for kids. Is James Johnson going to pull his head out his arse?

Is James Johnson going to pull his head out his arse? Look, assuming its following the same template for Nike, it will probably look like this. Colours aren't 100% accurate, but here you go. EDIT: Image upload is weird, but if you right click>Open image in new tab, it should load

+x+x+x+xIs it confirmed that Socceroos shorts are green? Yes. On both kits. What do the shorts look like? What do the socks look like? Is FIFA seriously the only way of finding this stuff out? Now I can make this in PES. Finally something that will briefly stop me from using the king roo retro jersey which the more I use it in game convinces me it was the greatest jersey we ever had. Also, what website or tool are you using to make these kits? Might help me make my in game kit, I use pes master kits sometimes to make a template.

I have all the national kits on PES already ;) As well as a mock A-League (tried to do this years kits already), and a Capital Football / Riverina NPL. I was using PESMaster, but the subscription version. I might have to share them in PES in the ET section. Or since they're football kits, I could share some of them here...? EDIT: Also, what file do you use for the KingRoo?? I tried making one, because I didn't know there was one already made floating around

+xVictory should change their main kit to white and go with that type of design forever. Looks much more classy and like a football kit (instead of a rugby jersey). Is it confirmed that Socceroos shorts are green? How straight up piss poor retarded is the FFAs non-existent marketing. Like why not just show both home and away kits in full instead of the crap they dishes up to us.

+x+xWait whaaaaat? The FFA own the rights to a song the teams fans sing?.. That can't be real? Do they do it for other franchise's? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. Can the wanderers make t shirts that say For Wanderers I sing? Or does the order of the words not count? This is a symptom of a franchise model. The clubs do not own their own IP. However, you may be reading into this wrong. The FFA would not have registered the trademark on their own volition. WSW would have requested the FFA do it on their behalf. Because it contains the word 'Wanderers' it would be more likely to be approved if it is registered by the same owner of the Western Sydney Wanderers trademark, which is the FFA. This should all change once the league independence is finalised and clubs take ownership of their own IP. Or you can see it as FFA did it because they didn’t want a competitor (fan groups) printing shirts. They want you to buy FFA products. If what you write is true wouldn’t it be on the jersey? The only other reason would be WSW did an own-goal. The same merch conditions are in place so why wouldn’t FFA let WSW use it? Melbourne City own their own ip but they still haven’t had it accepted because it look like the original Melbourne City. Anyway if I live in WS and had that kind ambition I would do “WS4W” Like this one https://search.ipaustralia.gov.au/trademarks/mobile/result?q=Red+black+bloc

May have to do with contracts that they aren’t allowed to own anything that is considered related to the club. Members, do you mean APFCA members? It is probably a condition FFA set the league up like. FFA own the one chant, Roary (2004) the only mascot. A notable mention is FFA own Sydney FC (2004). In 2007 AFL acquired Sydney Football Club. its odd in the way it’s not consistent. Why only 1 chant and 1 mascot. If clubs did request why didn’t FFA do it for all the clubs? and why are CFG allowed to own MCFC ip?

Makes sense I guess, still baffles me that club members would not vote against this sort of thing though. and why are CFG allowed to own MCFC ip? Technically they don't because none of their trademark applications have been successful. All have either been rejected, withdrawn or have current opposition. https://search.ipaustralia.gov.au/trademarks/search/result?s=14d7fe9b-eafd-4861-8ac7-5cb368bbfe94#_1850900As for why they are allowed to apply. I'm guessing they probably negotiated a better agreement with the FFA when they purchased Heart. The FFA would not have wanted them to walk away from the deal and probably made some exemptions for them. CFG are to big to just let them walk over something as minor as that. Interestingly, MacArthur were the original owners of their name/branding, but ownership was changed on 1 July 2019 to the FFA. https://search.ipaustralia.gov.au/trademarks/search/view/2002161?q=macarthur+bulls(Click the history and publications drop down at the bottom.) My guess is this had something to do with independence. Originally, the AL independence was expected/scheduled to be finalised prior to Macarthur entering the comp. That would mean that there would be no reason for FFA to register their trademarks. However, that schedule changed (culprit most likely being Fox), and ownership of the Macarthur IP was all changed over to the FFA.

I assume that you already know that “members” don’t vote. Not for the board or anything of the like. AL season ticket holder are season ticket holders. Like people who buy a yearly bus pass. Their purchase of a season ticket allows them to use the service they pay for. Then can influence a decision but can’t vote.

Well they where formed during the dying days of the evil NSL empire so that would make sense I guess. :) Getting back to the Kit thread though, Adelaide's yellow strip is garbage in my opinion - (sorry to be negative) It really pains me to admit but I quite like Victory's away white strip, especially the map of Melbourne detail.... I'm gonna go and have a shower now I feel dirty.

I like our away kit, but I don't like the home kit at all.
If you're going to have the white collar, then the lining at the end of the sleeve should have also been white.

Also with the exception of newly arriving Macathur, no club wears a white kit. So its an easy one to switch to for away days as it contrast most colours.

I DON'T CARE- I LOVE IT!!!
There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

Wasnt sold on either till i saw the full picture, they are both great but that away kit is in my opinion the best the league has seen (though big fan of newys green one in the past) definitely will be picking one up.

The map on the victory away kit is brilliant, its a type of feature you'd see on a top premier league or world football club, not something youd expect within the league and its class.

Not sure if this has been mentioned on another topic or post, but Sydney FC have annouced they will reuse the kit from this season again next season.
So no new kit for Sydney, and we claim to be the biggest team in the league. This is straight up pathetic, imo.

The rest of the profits go to the FFA as they own the IP and merchandising rights as part of the franchise model.

I’ll even link the tweet so you can see it for yourself. https://twitter.com/adelaideunited/status/1306058340787564544?s=21

Just curious I don't even know why I care, maybe I'm just over every damn thing tracking me, bit.ly links are generally used to track the user clicking the link, then again everything does that these days.

I think it would be a good idea if all clubs got together and decided to reveal their new jerseys 1 day after each other in the order of the previous seasons table.
It would create a little added excitement, with 12 days in a row of interesting football content.
You could also go with two reveals per day to complete it all within a week.

For anyone interested this is a site that has thousands of thumbnails of kits and logos of clubs all around the world. It's not entirely accurate, but if you want to know say, any of the the 404 kits/logos of the clubs in Madrid, you'll be able to find it. http://www.footballlogosandkits.com/LOGOS%2BMADRIDYou can do so for just about anywhere in the world.

First impressions are that all of the Australian jerseys are out of date and look nothing like their real life counterparts... Also my god what is this website design. I will say it might come in handy, I guess, maybe at some point? Also still waiting on that other chap to respond, I don't have the subscription version of PES Master, doesn't seem worth it to sub for 1 kit but maybe I'll have to if he doesnt respond. EDIT, just got myself an account for $6 made the kit with more accurate colours if anyone wants it.

Nice kits, but I am somewhat concerned by the lack of a sponsor, wouldn't want their building contractor to pull out.

CCM have released their kits. They're not bad but they aren't as good as previous kits. https://twitter.com/ALeague/status/1334339754620424192?s=20

Different coloured shorts (e.g., white, red, green?) should be in the change strip to make a bigger difference from the home kit.

CCM's is like they are going to their bbq. I don't get why collars are in use for any playing kit. PG's home kit is very nice !
