+x+x+x+x+x+x+xApparently we are on the verge of signing a former Roar midfielder. The only players I can think of that we’d be looking at are Joe Caletti and Jesse Daley. Hopefully Caletti, he’s seems a reasonable player who needs a decent environment to thrive. Caletti is a cracking player , was not happy to see him leave roar but his last year there he had a broken foot. Good luck to the young lad Caletti would be an excellent addition to Adelaide. Stunned Brisbane for releasing him, some said he wasnt good enough because of his size which is madness. Some said he wasn’t good enough. Which was correct. He’s sure as hell better than the guy that replaced him. Who?

I’m glad Adelaide have signed him bc we’ve seen what he can do at his best and in the right environment, I think he could do well.

Adelaide are looking at singing a keeper, a CB and a striker according to Bruce.
I think we need a left back and a winger as well.

I’m glad the kid gets another chance - too many people assume a rejection from one club is a death knell whereas it’s often a spur to the player.
He’s got talent but in his 30+ games with Roar he showed early promise then dropped away markedly. Interestingly Ross didn’t rate him at the time fo be interesting to see how he goes.

When a club gives a talented aged and second or third chance, they get accused of recycling players but if they don’t get another chance at HAL level and do well elsewhere, then people criticise the clubs for letting him slip through the cracks.

Surprised to see Michael Maria is still a free agent. He’d be a very good pickup for most teams, as long as he isn’t playing full back.

My understanding was Adelaide was keen to keep him.“We would’ve liked to keep Kristian but financially it’s hard. It was a difficult period for him with the stand down – he doesn’t get JobKeeper, he’s not eligible. It was financially very difficult. Look, maybe we’ll bring him back? I don’t know. What I do know is that we need a striker. It would’ve been great to keep Opseth but we don’t have that financial flexibility unfortunately and he left prior to our deadline day deals.” https://indaily.com.au/sport/manton-st-tales/2020/10/09/djite-on-reds-recruitment-and-keeping-the-faith/

Don’t think it’s been said here yet, but Joey Champness is apparently putting his rap career on hold and has signed a 1 year contract with Roar... which has gone down pretty badly with Jets fans and management, due to their agreement that he would go back to them. I’d be pretty sad to see him sign for someone other than the Jets, though I can see why he would choose Brisbane (proximity to family etc). It’ll be interesting to see where his skills are at after a year of no football.

Wellington apparently want to bring Tyler Boyd back to the club.
That would be a huge coup if they pull it off, especially in the current climate.
