Yeah good piece . The division has been bubbling for decades. The civil rights movement was supposed to be a watershed but it made the racists even more bolden.  Sdy the working class will spite themselves and vote for the gop as they believe the rhetoric.

You missed the bit about how Obama sold out the neglected the futures of poor whites to globalisation mocking them for clinging to "their god and their guns" and Clinton's dismissing as the deporables.  Trump is their revenge.

Yeah what's the saying? "they vote against their own interest"?

The problem with that is the facts do not support it.

As it stands those who vote for Trump benefited the most (until Covid hit more about that later) viz:

1.Of the seven best-growing states — North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Louisiana, Alaska, Hawaii and Maine — only the latter two voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Moreover, the seven slowest-growing states and districts by Yelp’s measure — Oregon, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware — all voted Democrat https://www.cnbc.com/2020/01/24/yelp-states-that-backed-trump-growing-faster-than-states-that-didnt.html

2.  500,000 manufacturing ie working class jobs created.

3.  Record unemployment unmatched for over 50 years with minorities such as hispanics, blacks, women workers, with female hispanics leading the way.  Over 6 million jobs

4.  According to the data-gathering website Worldometers, 33% of deaths in the U.S.—just under 61,000—come from three Democratic states: New York, New Jersey and California. All three are headed by Democratic governors, and the statehouses of all three are controlled entirely by Democratic politicians.

https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/coronavirus/uncomfortable-data-biden-slams-trumps-covid-response-33-deaths-are

In fact the Covid death rates of these States taken alone, they rank in the top 5 IN THE WORLD

So if you voted Trump in 2016 why wouldn't you again?  Why would you care that Democrat States have lower growth, more crime, more Covid deaths and infections?  Its not as of they would, or have...

Bullshit. The whole “systemtic racism” mantra is a ploy designed by the left to galvanise blacks to vote against Trump in November. They desperately need the black vote to beat Trump, so in the absence of any actual evidence for systemic racism they have resorted to casting traditional ideas and systems such as immigration, law and order and even the American flag as symbols of racial oppression. They (Democrats) do this every 4-8 years around election time, they try to whip up racial hysteria and make the election a referendum on race, so that stupid people vote based on irrational emotions rather than policies. And usually by the time the Democrats have taken office all of the protests and riots magically stop, and the ‘race card’ goes back into the draw awaiting it’s next appearance in 4-8 years time.

The truth is there is very little racism in USA 2020 let alone systemic racism, and all the issues that BLM and their proxies whinge about, like blacks being targets of police, having fewer assets than white people etc, can be explained by organic reasons such as committing more crime, high illiteracy rates, low graduation rates, etc. Of course none of these things are ever mentioned by mainstream media, because to seek an honest intellectual inquiry into these things would provoke howls of racism and cancelled careers.

Gotta love the wildly different characterisations of Antifa and Proud Boys on Wikipedia;

The Proud Boys is a far-right neo-fascist male-only organization that promotes and engages in political violence

Antifa is an anti-fascist and left-wing political movement in the United States comprising an array of autonomous groups that aim to achieve their objectives through the use of both nonviolent and violent direct action rather than through policy reform.

Hahahaha.  And Trump is called the "divisive" one :hehe:

i just dont understand how the media is surprised by anything trump is doing. it's been obvious for a long time how this was going to play out.  if i can call it i dont see what's stopping more informed people from reading the situation.

It’s to feed the media machine. All this outrage causes clicks. If it’s reported as same old Trump, then people won’t bother clicking.

at least he is consistently a piece of shit.  until the virus hit i thought that trump had no chance of losing the next election. the fact that it will plow through his heartland the hardest will possibly cost him the election. the level of alt right fantasy is astounding in its normalcy in the republican dialogue - through supporters, politicians, news. people are just openly denying the virus issue exists.  you have republican politicians saying the economic costs out way the deaths and that there should be no shut down.

the biggest danger comes when trump loses the election and refuses to accept the outcome. i did not think this was a risk before because he was not going to lose. but now he possibly will, and his supporters think it's been caused by a democratic inflicted virus hoax and shutdown, and they will jump on trump refusing the outcome.  big call but i can see militia outbreaks and the leanings of a civil war incoming.

Well the GOP have sold their soul to the cult of trump so what did you expect  ? And biden is running due to the fact the democrats don't want an old socialist in sanders and or a young progressive

Will be amazing if Trump somehow agrees to CPD changes for the next debate.

Would be mass hilarity to watch someone turn off his mic (but would also play into his hands)

Amazing that Trump brings up Biden's son when that clown is the king of nepotism.  His son in-law, his daughter, his friends, his sons all on the government whack.

Weird nobody calls him on it.

They do but its drowned out by calls of fake news

Shit debate. Trump has appalling debating skills, he’s asked a question and always goes off on a tangent about something unrelated. Biden is just a silly old man out of his depth who should he committed to a nursing home.

It's kinda crazy that the future and direction of the US is dictated by people so old.

Right - the polls are favouring Biden now before the debate - with them fully allocated it is 353 - 185.

So before the first debate lets put down the predicted electoral college figures to see what affect it will have and review it in a week. These are base on 538 amalgam of polls (not commenting on whether that is the best to used)

Biden has 178 with a margin of greater than 15%. Trump has 60.
Biden has 21 with a margin between 10-15% with an average margin of 11.8%. Trump has 11 with an average margin of 14%
Biden has 76 with a margin between 5-10% with an average margin of 7.2%, Trump has 45 with an average margin of 7.8%
Biden has 78 with a margin between 0-5% with an average margin of 2.3%. Trump has 69 with an average margin of 2.2%

This time next week - I'll put up the same breakdown and we can see whether the debate has had any affect and if it does - how much and in which direction.

Some late adjustments
Biden has 178 with a margin of greater than 15%. Trump has 60.
Biden has 21 with a margin between 10-15% with an average margin of 11.8%. Trump has 11 with an average margin of 14%
Biden has 80 with a margin between 5-10% with an average margin of 7.2%, Trump has 45 with an average margin of 7.8%
Biden has 74 with a margin between 0-5% with an average margin of 2.1%. Trump has 69 with an average margin of 2.0%
