Because all the smaller regional counties with plenty of Trump voters have all been counted, but the big cities like Philadelphia and Pittsburg are only like 46% and 38% counted so far respectively, so there'll be plenty more Biden votes from there still to come. Similar story with Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. These four states will decide it.

CNN calling Texas for Trump. It was fun while it lasted. Maybe Harris or AOC will do better there in four years.

Biden catching up in some states and apparently the postal votes to be counted are mostly democrat. I can't believe that a gap off 400k votes can then all be democrat votes though. Maybe 290 to 110.

15min ago Pennsylvania had over 2 million mail votes to count and now it's officially 1.4. Big gap in numbers there. TV off. Sick of them just rephrasing the same stuff.

Big difference between voting and counting.

Correct.  Voting not counting.  By the same token if some truck full of completed ballots turns up late those votes should still be counted.

Not only that you can't cast a ballot after the polling station has closed can you?  

Calling a win and then claiming they're trying to steal the election is no way to respect the democratic process is it?

Just had my Spanish lesson over zoom for the last 90 minutes, I'm sure I didn't miss too much...

Different states do it differently. You can see how some of the states reported their results super fast. They also have different rules for when they're allowed to start counting postal votes, and all sorts of things.

Giving English lesson on zoom now. How do you find it for Spanish? I enjoy the online opportunity. Glad to have this distraction for a few hours.

It loses a lot of nuance over zoom I reckon, but it's better than nothing I guess. I've only had a few lessons so far.
