+xMelb Victory To progress to the knockout stage of the ACL, a win against FC Seoul by 2 goals is required since head to head is counts. So the team that finished 10th in the domestic league is only A-league team that can progress. The Smurfs and the Violet Crumbles can both come home with their respective tails between their respective legs. Any win for Victory against Seoul will be enough as then Victory would be on 7 points compared to Seoul on 6.

+xGeez people love a whinge don't they? The time zone is completely different from the Middle East so its always going to be difficult with the kick off times. Victory would be disappointed not to win that, not sure what the keeper is doing because he wasn't no where near the ball when it came in. Yeah don't know what the hell Acton was doing. He bidded his time to become no 1 and he does that.

+x+x+xThe fact this game is on a midnight is testament to the quality of this competition what's that got to do with the price of fish???? Like the UCL they schedule early and late games. Also did you forget its in Qatar where its not midnight Has there ever been a 12am game local time for a club in the UCL? or Europa league? Even the other confederations like South America etc i dont see Liverpool playing Ajax at midnight local time? - they make it 'suitable' for both fans As for the World cup that isnt club football it is a different kettle of fish. - as it is a world competition you expect 'someone' to not be happy with the kick off times. A confederation based competition should aim to appease both fans... Absolute joke this was on at midnight AEST when an Australian side was playing - keep in mind this game kicked off at 8pm Thia local time they could of easily had the game kick off 2-3 hours earlier to appease both sets of fans. Anyway Good on Victory getting a point i dont see us beating Seoul as they pumped these guys 5-0 You know that last night was 12 am our time. Qatar is 8 hrs behind us

Barcelona in 2003-2004 once kicked off a match at 12.05am against Sevilla in front of 80,000 fans. In Brazil especially, 10.00pm kick offs (local time) are reasonably common as t.v schedules run the show. I didnt know that you got any recent examples?

+x[quote]A win would've been nice for Australia's AFC coefficient, but ultimately our coefficient score is gonna take a massive battering after this ACL campaign.
I believe that 2020 results won't count for the rankings due to the cancellation of the AFC Cup.

Separately - I know he's still quite young, but has Lawrie-Lattanzio really done anything to justify him starting ahead of Kamsoba and Iannucci?

+xWin or draw today we still need to beat Seoul regardless, but those lapses were very concerning. Acton flapping doesn't bode well for him. He waited a long time for the right to be no 1. He needed to be careful or pisser will get the nod

You could just watch that last minute of football and you'll have seen our entire ACL experience as a club.
Fucking up a golden opportunity then letting in a soft goal due to a defensive lapse to throw away the game.

+xI shouldn't have chuckled at that goalkeeper error but I did. Chuckle rights for Sydney fans during this ACL campaign are well and truly revoked. Terrible keeping though. Probably wants to be home for xmas.

Also did you forget its in Qatar where its not midnight It's only the East zone playing, I'm confused as to why they didn't have the teams play a little earlier to suit their home country's time zones. This is the only time of the year in Qatar when that is possible due to the heat.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

A 21 year old Australian with some finishing instinct, a rare thing. Hopefully the start of a big year for him.

Victory could draw tonight and still qualify as long as we beat Seoul, unless Chiangrai somehow beat Beijing in the last game (which would be a dead rubber for the latter team).
If we won this match and drew against Seoul however it would be Seoul that would progress, so either way you cut it we have to beat Seoul.

Ulsan Hyundai confirmed as first place in Group F and as such will be our competition should we qualify to the Ro16.
In 2018 against the same opposition we conceded three goals in a draw at home and got done 6-2 away.
