it's a shrewd time to look at buying a club. lots of owners would be looking to offload - there are many clubs that struggle to carry costs with a season ticking along normally. the current disruptions to the game are going to make some owners want to get their money out quickly.

I don’t think Eric is out of favour. If anything now they’re favourites to reach the GF .... providing he can cure that choking thing they have had.

O'Neill out for 3 months with a back fracture which is disappointing.
Wonder if City will play Gomulka at DM or play Griff there now that Nuno's signed.

+xO'Neill out for 3 months with a back fracture which is disappointing. Wonder if City will play Gomulka at DM or play Griff there now that Nuno's signed. Depends on who they play. Griff would be more defensive minded and provide more security at the back. Gomulka could play as your other more attack minded midfielder just in front of Griff. BTW, wonder what's happened to Idrus Abdulalhi? Has showed great promise and I thought would definitely get a look in this season with the focus on youth, but seems to have gone off the radar

So Shan United are apparently going to pull out of the ACL which means City will get a bye to the next round. Source: https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/melbourne-city-set-for-asian-bye-due-to-myanmar-withdrawal

What do we think the squad changes are going to look like for next season?
Metcalfe is confirmed gone, and according to transfermarket, Griffiths, Caputo, Endoh, Colakovski, Sutton and Lesiotis are all off contract, and Jenkinson's loan is up. Valadon is an unknown. It'd be great if we could offload Pucciarelli too.
Of those up, I'd like to keep Griffiths for another year. He's getting on, but provides some good flexibility. Caputo we should be keeping too. I'm a bit disappointed he hasn't had more chances off the bench this year, but he's still only 16. Jenkinson I could take him or leave him. Colakovski is rumoured to be out, and that's better for him tbh. It's great to have him as he grew up with the club, but realistically he's only ever going to be a backup here. The others can all go, especially replacing Sutton with a decent keeper will be huge for us.
