Feels like Adelaide get more Friday games then any other team.

anyways Adelaide are playing to finish top 3 and Wellington are playing to keep their finals chances alive so this should be a good one to watch 

Veart surely has to have realised that we need more creativity to breach packed defences. I've been calling this for a while but Cavallo has to get a run in midfield, he's good on the ball and is very positive and surely offers much more than D'Arrigo.

Veart has done a decent job since talking over but his team selections have been pretty poor. We've had the same XI for the last three games and haven't won any of them.

Not the greatest match I've ever watched..

I have found it quite entertaining.

The game has not been flat at any point - constant pressure one way or the other.

Adelaide are really effective with their man marking - allowing no time or space for Nix to breathe. But at the same time both teams are playing under pressure. Adelaide that much better/faster with their passing have the run of the game and they have won a lot of 50/50 moments by the smallest of margins. Better positioning for the secondary possession I guess.

Juric was a mongrel - he was the one who caused the head knock throwing his head back then ran into the back of his opponent in a nasty moment of payback.

Davila always a threat is having a good game - but he is the main danger up front compared to several Adelaide players combining for their attacks.

Open for either team to win but definitely points to Adelaide in the first half.

And on a side note - is it just me or are Ryan Strain and Tim Payne the same person?

For me tomi juric is the third best striker at Adelaide. 

The classic AUFC end of season form slump is well and truly under way. Some things never change.

The second half started with Nix more dominant, then it all went scrappy and to hell.

Stupid by Strain to get his first yellow then stupid to stick a foot in to get sent off. As the commentators said, Juande danced with a second yellow a few times too. Is discipline still a burbling issue at Adelaide? Juric's payback shot suggests there is no fear of reprisal within the club for lashing out.

Yengi provides much more than Juric in terms of "something happening" despite some of it being undirected enthusiasm. Clearly Juric is the more controlled and thinking player over Yengi's skilful strength and touch but I do not understand starting with Juric.

Shame if Davila is injured - until Roar play Nix anyway.

A few box droppers ignored - always good to see.

Nix picked up when the substitutions came on with Piscopo and whoever.
Adelaide picked up with the Yengi substitutions.

Not a pretty end to a game that was so energetic and promising to start.

I will add, the last few weeks goodwin hasnt played at his best...
Adelaide look so much better when yengi and toure are up front.. they are not slow , more mobile and willing to take  players on... Juric has the better link up play but cannot beat his man in a 1v1.
Midfield is a problem , darrigo is lost in the midfield, Juande has been a good pick up . but the midfield depth is very light
Cavallo and halloran have played well most of season, and cavallo in particular has cemented his spot as a full back

Agree (also well done RimB) with this except that Cavallo has to go back into midfield ASAP. It's no coincidence that our best run of form this season was when he was in midfield.

Cavallo is very good  , but who will partner him in midfield ? Juande , darrigo or calleti ? neither of this is a ball winning midfielder

Juande. D'Arrigo gets benched and Caletti gets dropped altogether.
