Daily oz football on Twitter reporting Anthony carter is going from the Portuguese second division to the Thai premier league with Bangkok United. Bad move IMO but if he bangs in the goals there then he can play himself into roo’s contention.

Dougall also got an assist and apparently a match rating of 8.4. He seems to have had a very solid game. Considering Portsmouth (my team) didn’t make the play offs, I’m really wanting Blackpool to make it all the way. I’d love to see Dougall in the Championship. He seems like quite an underrated player because we don’t get to see him play much.

Makrillos played 90 in a 1-1 draw. Bulgaria break into Championship and relegation groups for the final part of the season. His team are top of the relegation group by a few points. They drew with the team below them. Hopefully this means they can do enough to stay up.

They are 5 points clear of the next team. Also, sorry, I don’t know how to edit my posts on my phone without starting a new comment.

Didn't realise that he played CDM. Made quite a few important tackles & interceptions, good with the ball at his feet, good passing game & really good engine. Be really good for the Socceroos if he moves up to the Championship.

Italian article on pennington. More about him than football. Apparently he: - speaks English, Italian, French and German - doing a Natural Sciences course at uni - volunteers with a cleaner beaches organisation and has done Volunteering trips to Madagascar and the Maldives cleaning plastic waste - plays as a mezzala which from a quick google is a mainly a centre mid who drifts forward and wide into a kind of inside forward role. https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/nicholas-pennington-chi-e-giocatoreI think the organisation he works with is https://www.legambiente.it/

+xZak Gilsenan has been offered a pro deal at Blackburn. Definitely one to keep an eye on. Would be great if they loaned him out soon so he can get some senior football under his belt.

Its a squad of 35, not including local players, and there is a smattering of other players who have represented other countries. Its no forgone conclusion where he'll end up representing. As he's already played for the Joeys, its not out of the question that he'll plump for Australia.

+xThomas Deng is back in the starting eleven for Urawa Red Diamonds. And suddenly does he warrant a Roos call up? If he's been training intensively and plays two more times beforehand I think it'd have to. Weeks back Smith was just getting into it and now he's exploded and should start.

Great cutback from Mileusnic, teammate shoots first time but the keeper makes a good save. Would've been a good moment for him. 2-1 loss to Nordsjaelland. 67 minutes for Mabil. 4-2 loss to Copenhagen. Full match for Wright in a 2-0 loss to Lincoln in the play-off. Xanthi won their last game but have to win a two-legged play-off for promotion.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

+xMcGree has rejoined Birmingham City on loan until January 1. Could be because the MLS seasons starts after that? I hope they sign him on a permanent deal to be honest.

It certainly gives McGree a chance to shine over that extra six months. Also, if he shines in either Olympics or WC qualifiers, this might strengthen his case for a permanent signing in England.

Arnold said that Olyroos squad from 2008, about 80% of players got offered club contracts afterwards. Massive shop window for entire squad

Dougall scores. Ht and it's 5:1 Blackpool on aggregate. Gotta go for Blackpool as I can't see Sunderland coming back against Lincoln.
