Gersbach on in the 48th minute and Duncan unused sub in a 2-1 loss to Larne from Northern Ireland in the first leg of their Conference League qualifier.

How good were the Matildas and Olyroos!! However a bit more Aussie action in the Europa Conference League. Keeper Kai Calderbank-Park played 90 minutes as Connah's Quay lost their away tie. James Jeggo is back from injury as well, playing a few minutes off the bench for Aris. Peter Gwargis unused for Malmo, and TNS had a big win for manager Anthony Limbrick.

Imagine if some players get interest in Europe after the Olympics. I think championship would be a great league to play in

+xImagine if some players get interest in Europe after the Olympics. I think championship would be a great league to play in Championship would be a great league for our players. It’s a different quality to what it was 10 years ago. One thing that I feel has gone unmentioned in the last two days is that I though we physically dominated the opposition in a way we haven’t for years.

Borrello starting Grant started against Seoul
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Unfortunate for Iredale but I imagine he'll keep fit with the 5th tier reserves when not picked in the first team squad. Better than not playing at all. Chances will come.

St Pauli haven't mentioned Irvine in their plans and their midfield seems set for now. Undoubtedly he'll get chances but German football annoys me with comparatively fewer games than in lower tier England.

If anything they're integrating him slowly. He'll impress in training and play soon enough. It depends how well the team go in the first place.

Borrello just smacked the post from 18 yards, lovely strike. Would've been a belter.

+x+x+x+x+xGod I want Rogic on and to see him score a screamer! Celtic must prevent away goal. The "away goal" rules are no longer (at least for this season anyways). Ah yes. Well, now that the Danes scored I agree with it! Celtic forumites seem unhappy with Barkas effort on the goal and with Barkas generally, many calling for new gk asap. Forster return has been rumoured but I'm not sure that he's suited to the sweeper-keeper role Ange likes. How about one from left-field - Paul Izzo. I'm not sure myself, would need others, such as Adelaide fans, to say whether he'd be a good fit for Angeball. Would like to see Izzo out of Xanthi and there doesn't look to be too many openings for him in the A-League at this stage. The only available Aussie I could see at this stage being good enough for what Ange is doing is Langerak Transfermarkt says his contract expires at the end of January and at 32yrs might be up for one last challenge in Europe That's if the keeper situation isn't sorted by xmass Not a sweeper keeper.

Gilsenan came on as a sub for Blackburn in a friendly loss. He’s one to keep an eye on - he’s had a good pre season. Would be surprised if he didn’t play first team this coming season.
