+x+x+xArzani t o go lommel sk. In the 2nd division in Belgium. Either on loan or transfer Crushingly disappointing for him. He just keeps falling down the ladder. Yeah true. But if he does consistently well at Euro club (for a change!) he can gradually climb up to higher leagues/clubs 🤞 I thought his performances at the Olympics warranted way better than the Belgian Second Division. This reads as little more than a bad joke.

Antonis Martis loaned back to MacArthur for another season. He has been with FC Midtjylland for a fair while but this is last year on his contract with them

Hearing that #Olyroos midfielder Cam Devlin is set to sign for Hearts in the Scottish Premier League. Fee going to the Jets and some cash to the Nix as well.#ALeaguehttps://twitter.com/joeylynchy/status/1423114428338212866

I guess clubs have nothing other than a few games at the Olympics to go off ... he's played almost zero minutes of first team football at club level since the a-League. No doubt he's got the talent to play at a higher level, he just needs game time.

Perth have signed Brad Jones.
Great signing but I do feel sorry for Liam Reddy who is very hard done by to be relegated to number 2

Looking forward to seeing more of Antonis Martis, thought he was quietly decent for Macarthur last season. No Devlin at Jets is disappointing, but not unexpected. Similar thing happened with Petratos a few years back and that turned out alright in the end. Can't wait to find out the identities of these foreign signings!

One might be Tommy Semmy, who is on trial. The guy is a beast surprised he hasnt been given a contract with the Phoenix

If only teams took a chance on Krishna a few year earlier yada yada. Anyway, I think the wording in the Newie Herald was two foreigners signed AND Semmy trialling.

Grealish to Man City from Aston Villa for £100m, bloody hell that English internal market is inflated as hell.
Barcelona confirming that they've parted ways with Messi too, huge.
Not strictly Australian transfer related but certainly paints a fuller picture.

Not strictly Australian transfer related but certainly paints a fuller picture. The British market has always been weird. English players tend to be overpriced due to the English tax

Jacob Tratt has signed for Adelaide.
I don't think anyone was expecting that tbh but at least we were able to replace Marrone quickly. The other bonus is that Timotheou now gets relegated to 4th choice CB.

In New Zealand they cracked down on signing Dieter Villalpando for rape accusation Everything was already discussed and there were agreements, but finally Dieter Villalpando will not play in New Zealand, since the board gave great importance to the accusation of rape that the Mexican midfielder received. Dieter and his people practically waited only for plane tickets to travel and make their arrival at Wellington Phoenix official. Everything was going well, but when looking for information about Villalpando, the first thing that came out was the whole show for which Chivas left. Wellington's team was interested in Dieter after the good performances given by Ulises Dávila, who changed his team . Dieter and his family were interested in going abroad, the legal issue was fixed a bit and also at home, so everything was sung for a change. But when they were waiting for the proposal on paper, according to what was discussed, suddenly the refusal of the hiring came to them, so everything discussed ended up going very far. https://www.mediotiempo.com/opinion/toque-filtrado/toque-filtrado/todos-los-jugadores-del-america-son-negociablesArticle is in Spanish but I used Google translate

Yeah that’s a fair assessment. I’m just hoping for any left back tbh. I do think we need a backup right winger and the need for a 10 is glaringly obvious but I don’t think we’ll get one.

He’s had a promising youth career but needs to translate that to senior minutes I don't have much info on the move but they have given him the number 7 shirt and is listed as a first team player on the club website. Austria Wein had a really bad regular season last year falling into the relegation round which is a bottom half finish when the league splits in 2. Got Europe conference league qualification through a play-off but have already been knocked out by a club from Iceland. I had a feeling he was leaving Sporting CP as soon as that article about him possibly playing for Peru came out. It was 6 months before the season ended so you can start shopping around for new clubs and having national teams "fighting" over you is some decent press for a player who has only played youth football. I wonder if Aussie youth players are going to find it harder when The World Game fully dissolves into SBS sport and they can't ask for free PR articles written about them.

Yep it’s certainly a tactic to generate discussion the old ‘he can play for three countries’ trick. I have high hopes for Hammond, we picked James holland in the most recent NT squad who is an Austrian bundi regular so if he has a good crack at it no reason why he can’t do something special.

I remembered seeing something about Austria Vienna in trouble last season and I found the article. In April they were denied a license to play in the league this season for not meeting financial requirements. They were given a license after a second application but fair to say it forced them into a new plan for their finances essentially putting them on austerity measures. I have also put a reddit thread with some fans of the club going over how screwed they. While not good for the club it could give Hammond a chance to play at high level https://newsreadonline.com/austria-wien-does-not-receive-a-bundesliga-license/https://amp.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/mq27s3/oefbl_austria_wien_have_been_denied_an_austrian/

Huge that he's got the first team number 7 shirt, hope he gets some first-team action, it's certainly a throw him in the deep-end situation! https://fk-austria.at/en/news/austria-wien-verpflichtet-tristan-hammond

Seems Presley Ortiz has signed for Belenenses in Portugal who play in the third tier. Not the Belenenses in the top flight.
