Maybe not so random! https://twitter.com/MelbourneCity/status/1422828978486665218In this clip at 0:36 behind Colakovski is Waring. That Chinese club is a part-owned CFG satellite club. Potentially Waring has been signed by CFG and could be shopped around to their various clubs. He's a quality striker, just a shame he couldn't break through in Japan. I thought he had been class for Bentleigh this season in Victoria, so perhaps City (CFG) see him as a squaddie (or starter) at some point in the future.

+x+x+x+x+xTristan hammond has signed for Austria Wien. Great news. Barely played in the last 2 years at sporting Could you shed some light on the move? Is he going there to be a first team player? He’s had a promising youth career but needs to translate that to senior minutes I don't have much info on the move but they have given him the number 7 shirt and is listed as a first team player on the club website. Austria Wein had a really bad regular season last year falling into the relegation round which is a bottom half finish when the league splits in 2. Got Europe conference league qualification through a play-off but have already been knocked out by a club from Iceland. I had a feeling he was leaving Sporting CP as soon as that article about him possibly playing for Peru came out. It was 6 months before the season ended so you can start shopping around for new clubs and having national teams "fighting" over you is some decent press for a player who has only played youth football. I wonder if Aussie youth players are going to find it harder when The World Game fully dissolves into SBS sport and they can't ask for free PR articles written about them. Thanks for that mate. Yep it’s certainly a tactic to generate discussion the old ‘he can play for three countries’ trick. I have high hopes for Hammond, we picked James holland in the most recent NT squad who is an Austrian bundi regular so if he has a good crack at it no reason why he can’t do something special. I remembered seeing something about Austria Vienna in trouble last season and I found the article. In April they were denied a license to play in the league this season for not meeting financial requirements. They were given a license after a second application but fair to say it forced them into a new plan for their finances essentially putting them on austerity measures. I have also put a reddit thread with some fans of the club going over how screwed they. While not good for the club it could give Hammond a chance to play at high level https://newsreadonline.com/austria-wien-does-not-receive-a-bundesliga-license/https://amp.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/mq27s3/oefbl_austria_wien_have_been_denied_an_austrian/ If this gives him more chance to play, then I’m all for it.

+xFfs. Dimi Petratos on season-long loan to WSW. I wonder if that means Troisi will get the flick or they will play with two 10’s with just Hemed up top?

He played a few games there and I think scored a couple of goals in the process, anyway both Arzani and Panos are in 2nd division leagues now so lets see if they start to build confidence at senior level in Europe.

+x+x+xPerth have signed Brad Jones.
Great signing but I do feel sorry for Liam Reddy who is very hard done by to be relegated to number 2 Not one, but two 39-year-old keepers is just... weird. Looking forward to seeing more of Antonis Martis, thought he was quietly decent for Macarthur last season. No Devlin at Jets is disappointing, but not unexpected. Similar thing happened with Petratos a few years back and that turned out alright in the end. Can't wait to find out the identities of these foreign signings! One might be Tommy Semmy, who is on trial. The guy is a beast surprised he hasnt been given a contract with the Phoenix Tommy Semmy trialled for the Nix in 2019 and they passed. His stonking performances for a frankly mediocre team on the NZ national league probably make him look better than he is.

Ill be surprised if an Australian NPL team dont pick him up. Give him a professional environment I guarantee he can perform at an Aleague level

Jordan Holmes has left Ebbsfleet for “an excellent opportunity overseas”.
Has Brisbane or CCM written all over it tbh.

Not really a transfer, but Deni Juric has been recalled to Dinamo Zagreb. Apparently they just lost there main striker, so fingers crossed he gets some decent minutes

Ryan Teague has been loaned to Portuguese second division clubs Sporting da Covilhã. Hopefully he can get a lot of senior minutes. https://www.instagram.com/p/CSfVBFmIucW/?utm_medium=copy_link

+xTeague has been loaned to SC Covilha in portugals 2nd division Disappointing that he wont be given a chance, unless Famalicao are vying for Europe. At least he will get to play more at that level.

As a forward his goal tally is underwhelming to say the least. That now guarantees he'll be contender for the golden boot this season!
