Eldest son and fiance, both AZ, son nothing both jabs, she had a sore reddish shoulder for some 4/5days couldn't lie on it, thankfully sorted itself out. 2nd son, AZ, 1st shot stayed in bed for 2days with fever hot cold chills, 2nd no worries. Wife Pfizer 1st shot, no worries, 2nd is Friday coming. Hadn't heard 2nd one gets you more.

Booked in for Pfizer on the 2nd, now I just have to hope it doesn't clash with the WCQ, that would be unfortuante.

When I got the 2nd Pfizer, I asked the nurse about it and she got a bit mad at me about all these rumours floating around. She said it varies from person to person and she has nothing. When we got it, it was nothing but a bit of tiredness for a day which we slept off. Good luck!

+x+x+xI think one of the weaknesses of our "western approach" is we only focus on products from our allies and shun the others. I already raised topic of Sputnik but I was reading about the Chinese vaccine (ref below) and it could actually allay a lot of the fears people have with the "experimental" mRNA vaccines like AZ, Pfizer, Moderna, etc which have never been used in the mass population before. The Chinese vax is a traditional vaccine which injects deactivated (ie dead) Covid virus particles into the body to generate the immune response. The side effects are limited and known since this has been used for all sorts of disease, most common of which is the flu shot. There are questions about how effective the Chinese vax is but it is WHO approved and if it gets more people vaxed sooner, why cant we have access to it? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-55212787 I would rather get the Sputnik shot, and I've also heard there's an Australian vaccine that should be ready by late this year? I don't trust vaccines that have been developed by the people who are responsible for this whole mess in the first place. And by those people, I am talking specifically about: The Getty's. The Rothschilds The Queen The Vatican Colonel Sanders (before he went tits up) Not sure if you're trolling or not. Seen so many loons on FB spouting all kinds of shit it's difficult to tell. Ever seen 'So I Married An Axe Murderer?'

NSW still vaxxing at an incredible rate. And most those vaccines are still first dose. I'm starting to think I was quite too pessimistic on vaccination rate forecasts, at least for NSW. Looks like they'll hit 70% easily and you'd have to back them for 80% at this stage. Having nearly 1000 cases per day, threat of never ending lockdowns and promise of freedoms if they get vaxxed might have helped. hopefully an above 80% figure in NSW can drag us across the line of 80% nationally

I go on to make the booking at Wayville and where it asks for what appointment you need it only displays "Pfizer (second dose)" but I'm actually going for my first dose. Did that come up for you?

Wish I could help Give these links a go: https://www.hotdoc.com.au/search?filters=covid_vaccine-pfizer%2Ccovid_vaccine_dose-1%2Ccovid_vaccine_availability-next_7_days&in=adelaide-SA-5000&purpose=covid-vaccinehttps://healthengine.com.au/appointments/covid--19-vaccinations/SA/Adelaide-5000/Next7Days?vaccineType=Pfizer&withFilters=trueThere's not a lot but there were appointments for today and tomorrow. North at Pooraka and South at Reynella so they may be tough to get to depending on location and mode of transport but I'd avoid the government's site all together if you want to get in quickly.

+xVic 21,694 NSW 21, 471 Total cases, neck and Neck...... Who would've predicted this 2 months ago? just like a football game or anything, things change when you least expect it. So, little storey that evolved early eve re our 16yr old daughter. We are not in the Red Zone LGA's - one of the niece's family is and they have priority getting this age group jabbed which is fine we didn't have an issue about this for to date the wife had been trying to get our girl booked in but the sytem kicks you out once you provide address details, this is the Service NSW site. The daughter tells us friends of hers around our area have got booked in at Homebush ?! we ask how is this and how. She came back and said they did it through the Health NSW site. Low and behold we went in there and presto get in booked for both jabs starting Sept 2. Typical isn't.

+x+xNot having a go here BB because you're an adult and free to spend your time however you like but gee you expend some energy on this mask and covid stuff. It's not the end of the world. Do you need a hug mate? This forum isnt my life. I pop on here between doing other things. And just because I write long posts because I'm a natural writer it doesnt take anywhere near as long As I said. I'm not everyday with family and friends rattling off about face masks or vaccinations. Its not my job to do that. They can ask their GPs or listen to the daily updates. This forum is an avenue for me to vent. The reason I have been crapping on about masks for 13 months is because health officials have (almost literally) been shoving them down my throat for 13 months. How do you think I feel every single day I go for a walk that I have to put on a mask in case the big bad COVID is lurking behind a bush and gets me? And if you're wondering, no I dont have a job. Like many I have lost mine and its going to be tough getting one yoyoing in and out of lockdown. This pandemic has real costs and real consequences and hits different people in ways you cant imagine. Even the "little things" Forums are for addressing what has been posted instead of who has posted it or why. There is no reason for a line up of people trying to defend a life time of face mask laws just because they arent impacted by them. If you cant put forward a valid well thought out argument in favour of mask laws then you're just trolling Sorry to hear about your job loss BB. Having the motivation to apply for jobs while in lockdown is just so damn hard as you dont have the outlets to distract you from the stress I was unexpectedly made redundant in March, can't get jobseeker because of assets test and payout. Losing money everyday while trapped in a tiny studio hotel room in another long melbourne lockdown. I was messed up after last years lockdowns, going through it again is a nightmare. Luckily got to have a great two month holiday in NZ before the bubble closed but now stressed out of my mind. After a few recent job interview rejections, I'm starting doing ubereats next week. Hope hospo opens again soon so I can get a bar job, 20 years after I last had to work in hospo.. Hope you're ok BB, you can always PM me for a chat. Same goes for everyone else on here who are doing it tough in lockdowns. I met BundooraBrah on this forum and a few years later we are good mates and he has been an incredible support during this. I know this will hopefully end soon but a lot of people are really suffering a lot worse than me. Hang in there my fellow forumites.

So Delta can be caught by the vaccinated, they then have just as high viral loads and are therefore just as infectious and can pass it on the same as the unvaccinated.
Bye bye Herd Immunity
