+x+xRogic and Hrustic must be there they are the glue that hold the team together Brad Smith to come on with 30 minutes to go as an impact sub Arzani to start Degenk to start So your saying to start a player (arzani) with under 200 minutes match-play in the last 12 months, (143 domesticly, 54 internationally in ) that hasn't played internationally with some of these guys in years? Yeah I would actually, he definitely provides something special as raw as he is

I'd start Arzani for sure. Might as well give him a chance to prove himself against (potentially) the worst team in the group. It could easily work.

I'm sorry but this talk of azani is ridiculous, Duke will start is if Boyle can't. Besides the situation of Arzani's lack of game time, the weakness of the opposition is size, Duke is the natural option.

Are we seriously under estimating the vietnamese? The se nations have shown in the past they can out play us.

I concur.
It's gonna be a tough game tomorrow. We typically struggle in these types of fixtures.

It was games like this that cost us second, 4 years ago. Arnie knows this, the elevation of these games through out the tournament will become more worrisome if the draws and loses start accumulating. Hopefully we get the W, and a few of the other teams drop points. The Oman v Saudi game will be very interesting. I hope we get the W, my expectation is for the W, but if last Qualifiers has taught us anything it's we can't take anything for granted. The big positive for arnie this game will be that there won't be a crowd, the East Asian crowds are extremely vocal, I think they were a major issue last time we played in thailand.

Game day. Get the 3 points by any means necessary!
Going to be tricky. Probably should start with Taggart for his poaching and line up but Duke needs to knock them about a bit.

The equation is slightly different to last time around. Our two toughest games are last. Just hope on days we do win that the competition has a bloody draw or two. It really dragged on and on last time.

Looking forward to this, should get a result but could be a tough grueling experience. Hoping for a well presented pitch as our passing last outing, was great. Aus 2 - Viets 1

Potential banana skin. One of those games where if we don’t score early it will be very very hard. Even worse, if Vietnam score early and lead at half time it becomes an almighty task.

Looking forward to this, Vietnam very strong at home , not conceding a goal and winning 3 out of 4 games in the previous round including 1-0 v UAE. it’s their best team ever. Rogic, Hrustic Arzani and Souttar to star for the Socceroos in a 2-0 win

Its no easy game for anyone, for them as well. Home makes you feel comfortable but no crowd is a huge diff adrenalin wise. I'm sure GA is making sure nothing is easy to the fellas. I expect a W but walk away with a D I'll take it.

Noticed the other 2 games in the group start after we've finished our game. Would be nice to get the win - pressure then would mount on the other teams as we would be top with 6, and Oman and Saudi play to join us. China and Japan - what a joy if China could nick an early goal!

We need a fast winger who has ability to run and take one on one. Arzani has that ability but the problem is his decision making. Hopefully Boyle is fit to play. We need him.

I reckon the best case scenario for us is obviously us to win & the other games ending in draws, that way we'll have a gap between us & Oman and SA

I wonder if opportunity beckons to play a 4 - 2 - 2 - 2 formation with both Taggart and Duke up front from the start and Arzani and Mabil bombing crosses into the centre.

I expect Vietnam to put up more of a fight than China did earlier this week, but if we are serious about qualifying for this world cup anything less than a 3-0 win would be concerning. Anyone know if Boyle is a chance to play or is he on ice after the recent injury?

Arnie's just using the opportunity to get inside the Vietnamese coaches head.

Just get the job done tonight. It's weird how the lowest ranked team makes you feel most insecure. Cup football does it to you. Vietnam will inevitably beat someone and we need to ensure it isn't us.

Hope Arnie builds it up slow from the back, and then Sainsbury lobs it over the whole midfield for a sloppy tap in from any1
