Smith a bit sloppy but I appreciate his dives to head or chest it to keep it in.

This style of game is no different to Far East uefa where the Scandinavians and Anglo teams need ages to break them down.

I'm annoyed at some of our decisions but Vietnam make it tricky too. I also remember home qualifiers against Uzbekistan and Bahrain where it took ages to sort.

Feel like Hrustic is wasted as a deep midfielder. I’d personally like to see him have the opportunity to use his skills closer on goal.

Agree, awful. Joined by poor performances from Taggart and Mabil. Nobody playing that well to be fair, maybe Hrustic, Ryan and Souttar. Everyone else so so.

they look like they have the technique to try and keep the ball a bit more. More importantly, they look less affected by the pitch condition

I agree with your criticisms in part. I feel it'll be a completely different game against better opponents anyway as they'll attack and it'll be more normal for our players but those lapses of concentration against better opponents will bring harsh punishment and we can't let that happen. 

We need to have midfielders who can hold the ball. We are giving away too much. Surely it can’t be hard to break down. 

This is pretty much exactly how I pictured the game to go.

A lot of us seem quite arrogant and underestimate the opponent and conditions of Asian football. Have a look at some of the other results happening in this Second Round. It's not easy and these grinding types of performances are pretty in line with what we should have expected.

He's not been able to pass it around as freely. Pitch is poor and Vietnam are raiding quite well. 

I just don't agree with dismissing someone based on how they look.
