Kuol scored for the first team overnight in a 1-0 win over fc Zurich. 

Not much more he can do. Stuttgart have 7 players away on international duty and he scored the last minute goal as a sub. It's just a massively stacked squad with around 4-5 attackers not getting minutes from the bench anyway. It's horrible to observe.

Silas is due back after a bad knee injury any week now. Kalajdzic is due back at the end of December. Both players are valued at 20m plus.

Then there are Förster, Massimo and Klimowicz who aren't wingers but get accommodated so they can play. Führich started getting lots of starts but is hurt. Thommy has fitness issues. Then they've got 6 more listed as attackers. Kuol's hope is that 4 of them have an injury stamp at current with 3 being ones I wasn't aware of last week. He might make the bench next time. 

Given that, is the natural next step for a promising young player in the reserve team is for them to be loaned out to a team in the 3rd division? Or do they just keep developing them in the reserve team?

Nah they actually develop them in Germany, an example is Sankoh who was promoted from the second team after similar stats(9 goals in 15 apps) to what Alou is doing this season so I expect Alou to continue to get a run in the first team for the next few weeks hopefully and find himself a spot. It is a big squad though. Fair few injuries up front though.

No Kuol in Stuttgart reserves today. Interesting. He only had half an hour off the bench in midweek friendly so this may be the indication he's training with the first time while the international players are still away. I don't expect him to be in the next matchday squad though. However, they do have around 6 attackers out currently. 

Just came here to ask you that question John. Doesn’t seem like he’s injured or suspended so all signs lead to him training and being involved with the first team. This is great news and you would say things are happening faster  than expected which is good. 

I've just come across an article all about him released yesterday. The club said that getting into the Bundesliga squad is still far off and it's a more mid term objective. The injuries and international break have allowed him to train with the first team but he's not going to feature as yet.

I think I'd get pretty annoyed to see him on the bench for 8 games in a row when he could be playing for the reserves. I'm anxious but ok with waiting. It's only been a few months into his long contract.

Irvine starting. That's showing confidence when post Australia travel typically sees players dropped.

At first glance it looks like Irvine has made a meal of his marking but upon further inspection the scorer was actually marked by a teammate who just stopped tracking. Irvine's man skillfully ran away from Irvine and presented no danger while the scorer has lost his marker completely.

Bit disappointed Kuol didn't make bench today against Dortmund. Quite raw up front today in the starting side and the bench has added Tibidi who plays for the U19 squad in youth Bundesliga whereas Kuol is in the U23 German 4th tier regional league.

Fair bit of German Twitter chatter with surprise and disappointment that Tibidi comes right in. Faghir is on bench and a real talent at 18. 

Was at Hannover vs Paderborn tonight and it's a weird one. He's only training so I think there's hardly any chance of a contract and if at all it'd be with their reserve side.
