Brisbane have signed former NZ U23 keeper Aiden Mumford on a short term deal. Is one of their keepers under an injury cloud or is Holmes just really bad?
haven't heard anything about injuries but holmes has not had any minutes in preseason so may be carrying something. if moon was unsure of holmes quality then why have a short term deal with Mumford. the team would be no-where near the cap and he cant be on much cash so why not bring him in permanently? my guess is injury.
It’s possible but why not announce that he’s an injury replacement player then like Adelaide and Victory have done with Oschenham and Tyson?
Edit: Reading the release, it seems like he was bought in to add extra competition for both Freke and Holmes.

Central Coast have added a number of new players on their team list on their website. Some are new signings, some are youth team promotions. They are Ricardo Rizzo, Harrison Steele (who made his debut last weekend), James Bayliss and Manyluak Aguek.

I take it Aguek is the kid at Western United before? I thought he was highly rated.

Yeah that’s him.
He was only just a youth player there so CCM must’ve offered him a pro deal

Ex Crystal Palace and Watford defender Adrian Mariappa to Macarthur. 58-capped Jamaican International. A bit long in the tooth, but could be a good signing.
