The McGree situation is starting to worry me. Only a couple of weeks before we play Japan & he was in great touch before he got injured. Need him back soon!!!

McGree had Covid and the coach said he'd travelled a lot. I don't think he's injured currently. Coach doesn't want to use him with the lack of full sharpness.

Many of our players aren't playing so they'll be injury free but lack sharpness.

i didnt watch the game but it looks like irvine started as the sitting 6 v dynamo in a draw for st pauli

i think he's wasted there.  he's more a raumdeuter type and probably better off playing off the striker like muller, alli, or cahill.

18yr Liam Chipperfield scored a goal for Basel! Trevor Morgan has spoken with him & his Dad says he loves Australia, so I'll keep following him until he plays for Switzerland.

Not sure about your Valpato call - scored a goal in a top 5 league & he looked like a seasoned pro during his time out there. I'd love to see Liam go for the Socceroos, but he was born & raised in Switzerland - our only chance is if we call him up early or he isn't good enough for Switzerland. I'm assuming if you're continually on the bench for Basel at 18, then you've got great potential. 

I just think it will be much tougher for Volpato to become a Roma regular compared to Liam becoming a regular at Basel. One week Cristian scores then he's back with the juniors, I'm interested to see what Basel does with Liam this week. I bet he stays with the first team.

What I find funny is the guy who replaced Cristian in the Italian U19 team plays in Switzerland playing men's football at 18 rather than playing youth football in Italy LOL - Wilfried Gnonto
