+xHigh praise for Bailey Wright from Sunderland fans for his performances in both playoff legs. He can play centre and right back, is experienced, fit, is highly rated by Sunderland fans and has Championship experience. But Arnold will pick his mate Grant.

+x+xLiam Chipperfield starting for Basel. that's a few games now, cap him. Big chance we'll lose him to Switzerland. He’s only 18. He’s not gonna be in a rush to play for Australia when he’s born and raised in Switzerland.

Yeah I get what you mean you’d rather play top level then in league one. Depends on his family situation if he doesn’t want to leave England id rather see him in the championship because then his at least easier to keep tabs on

Jack Iredale to Bolton, surprised he hasnt been looked at for the socceroos. TBH im surprised that more UK/scottish based players havent got a look in/more mins Speaking of players like Dougall, Luongo, Wright, Elder, Burgess, Iredale, amongst others, theres some decent depth in the region, except for a number 9. Maynard-Brewer Atkinson, Wright, Souttar, Elder Dougall Devlin, Mcgree R Williams, Rogic, Francois Bench Bilokapic, Iredale, Rich-Baghuelou, Burgess, Lyden, Luongo, Watts Id much rather see someone like Burgess or Wright get a call up to the socceroos rather than Degenek who cant start in the MLS

+xIf Schalke goes up I think Ryan would be great there. I think Nottingham Forest would be good regardless of division. Current keeper has massive brainsnap issues. Schalke about to let go of keeper and targetting Austria Vienna gk as his replacement, according to this: https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/05/09/rangers-one-step-closer-to-signing-29-year-old-despite-promotion-success/?amp

Decent move for Iredale to Bolton. A better chance at going up over Cambridge.

That's interesting. God the way Schalke will want to play as well Ryan is a great fit with his quick ball movement.

I read on Twitter the other day through an unofficial source that T. francois is out of Fulham in the summer seeking more opportunity. Makes sense, he couldn’t get a game for them in the championship no hope he does in the prem. Keep my eyes out to see where he ends up

Keep my eyes out to see where he ends up That tracks with what I read from David Ornstein in the Athletic - “The club are also yet to agree terms with midfielder Tyrese Francois, another 21-year-old, who rejected a new contract late last year.”

+xMaynard-Brewer Atkinson, Wright, Souttar, Elder Dougall Devlin, Mcgree R Williams, Rogic, Francois
That's a pretty crap team. Only Rogic, Souttar and Mcgree I would call "talented" players. The rest are unlikely to rise above their current leagues, however we lack such depth in some areas we would be forced to call on the likes of Wright, Luongo etc to plug the gaps. I'm confident they could get the job done against UAE but Peru is another story.

Think he has loads of potential, only one of a few current socceroos with an actual engine and hardness to his game.

Now has a had a year of doing nothing.

Did one fantastic cross field pass, something you dont see much in the A league, so maybe there’s glimmer of hope for him. But at this stage of his career he is closer to League One level than EPL.

His probably got a few more seasons in England before he comes to the AL Talk in the Wednesday forum was that he has already decided to head back to the A league. Personally I'd love to see him play on the continent in a more technical league. Always thought that would suit him more

Rogic bench
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Langerak starting for Nagoya in J-League against Cerezo Osaka. Taggart on the bench for Cerezo.
Brescia (Fran Karacic) play tonight (2 am in Eastern states) in a knockout promotion playoff against Perugia. I expect Karacic will be on the bench as he has been used as a late substitute for Sabelli in most of Brescia's recent games.
