Woah that's big. It's supposed to be in the middle of the year so surely Qatar can't have it due to the conditions? I think Japan or South Korea would be a good emergency option. We got a WC.

Damn, didn't realise the AC and WWC were both in July.

WWC to start 4 days after Asian Cup. I mean, it would be an absolute football fest but I don't think FIFA would want the WWC to be diluted by something else so close.

Australia would be a great option if they could. The only country that packs out the stadiums for away teams. Displays our diversity like nowhere else.

I think it'll be pushed back 6 months and played in the Middle East. They won't care but the farce of Qatar hosting it in June after all the world cup scheduling drama would be incredibly hypocritical. Like they'd care though.

Given the reason China has given for not wanting to host it, would Japan and South Korea really want to host it?

China was the only country who put up a bid, although that may be because the other countries assumed that China was a lock.
South Korea contemplated a bid but decided to instead try for a joint bid with North Korea to host the WWC. Maybe they'd be interested now.
