It’s that that you’re actually watching it.

So it looks like the upper level in the western stand is closed. That way the stadium looks fuller than it actually is, because the cameras all face east.

Help me out here. Would this be a night of vindication for Aloisi? I can't remember the narrative but wasn't he totally ridiculed and stamped as an inept coach?

Western are very frustrating to watch. It's sad if this ilk of football wins.

Should be a furious second half now. City will go for it and bring on Tilio. United stand poised. This is good.

+xHelp me out here. Would this be a night of vindication for Aloisi? I can't remember the narrative but wasn't he totally ridiculed and stamped as an inept coach? Some would say so, however in his first season - 2015/16 - at the Roar, we were a goal away from the championship. We drew nil all with Victory in the last game. We had gone into the last round in first place, and finished third. We finished third the next season as well, but then the wheels fell off. Playing roster wasn't as good. Whether that was Aloisi or the owners (I thought the later) there were questions. But he has had some good years. I said on another thread that Prijovic was the best signing of the season. So much depends on how the visa players gel with the Australian culture and whether their resume actually can be produced on the pitch. Just using that as an example of where the later signings when he was at the Roar let him down badly.

This year has seen a big improvement in the play of Lachie Wales. Presumably this is down to JA.

+x+xIf the GF doesn't sell out, would this be the first time in A-League history ?? And I don't mean w-league grand finals. The Jets v CCM GF in Sydney drew 36,500 in a 40,000 stadium In defence of the crowd, the game was in a different city to where both teams are from.

+xLeckie and Maclaren needn't board the plane after that display. Maclaren’s shirt can be reused next match.
