+x+x+x+x+x+xcheeez its a comedy of errors for some and the few, i have no worries..... Well as I've mentioned for 2021 thats not good enough - Middy whats your new spin on this :) just stirring your pot for kicks or KEEPS opppps. My son got a good stream no worries whilst having a feed in Bathurst of the MV game before the drive back, no cost think I'll stick to that now and then. I have watched on my phone with no issues... I have watched on my laptop no issues... I have chromcast to an older TV from my laptop no issues... I cannot chromcast to a new TV from my laptop.. KEEPUP is obviously a WIP ... still a lot to do... to get anywhere near the stated outcomes... Should it be more advanced...... I don't know if I am honest as I am unaware of any governing body in Australia that has set themselves up to at some stage in the future to be the producer of its own product... and my guess is the budget is tight so MAYBE things are slowly getting ticked off a To Do list... All I know, is we have never had this level of support from anyone ever before and this when our rating and crowds are poor... .by my count we have over 300 matches being broadcast.... Is it on par with say the EPL broadcast and web pages... seriously no... but there is a small difference in budget size ... and experience... If we are still in the same position in say 6 months I will be very very very unhappy.... however given we are 3 weeks in and everyone is on a steep learning curve .... I am happy to enjoy and look forward to the improvements as they come... To explain.... when Frank started Hal he did good... his issue was, he wanted to hold the position he started with... APL will need to stabilise then change stabilise again and then change... and so on and so on.... to even think we are close to where we need to finish i.e. two division P & R etc is fanciful... however that we make steady progress to these things is important... So my take is ... as the the man said as he fell of the "Empire State Building""" so far so good.... YOU and your foreign owners think we need to finish with two divisions P&R....... everyone else that gives a shit about soccer in Australia demands more mate. So what do you want that I don't and all people that care want that I don't? [Does that mean I don't care or give a shit] Oh Mid, I would never in a million years say you don't give a shit about football in this country. I want what the rest of the world has, a proper football competition, based on sporting merit, which will better the outcomes for our players so that they in turn increase the profile of the sport and earn our country some pride and respectability on the international stage. If I may I assume you believe South Melbourne is a real Football club in a real competition... - That is correct - would be 1000 times better if that competition offered a chance to be promoted to the highest level competition in the country based solely on performance though. But When the NSL and their teams where in total control... the structure was near identical to now... Where was South Melbourne demanding that Granville Magpies be allowed in or similar... in the 80's... Mooroolbark, Green Gully, Blacktown, Canterbury Olympic, Inter Monaro, Morwell Falcons, Paramatta Eagles, Penrith City, Western Suburbs and the 14 different iterations of Newcastle over the years all say a big cheerio dude. Plus many more, If anything the big bad boogeyman wogs wanted more clubs to join the comp, not less. You repeat the same old fallacies over and over again until you make yourself believe them. If the Granville Magpies were ever big enough to make a play for joining the NSL I can guarantee you 100% that South Melbourne would NOT have said boo. In the same breath there was not pro/rel into it in the truest sense of the word but just because NSL was shit thats not (as I have said a billion times before) an excuse why we cant have it now.So lets jump to a total FIFA nay total English Football system ... multi divisions, P & R.... no barriers to entry.... Its not a Nay anything, not FIFA, not English Football its the same in 100s of different federations in the world. You dont want to copy the English, fine, lets copy Bulgaria or Nigeria or anyone of the hundreds of other federations that at least have some sort of method for clubs to rise or fall depending on how they perform on the pitch. Then fund it.... with say 32 teams with say an average of 6 million per team... plus the admin, plus the marketing, plus divisions below this ... FUND IT??? let IT fund itself like IT does in the rest of the world. Where is this 6 million per team being spent on wages???? Why does a second or third division club need a marketing budget ffs? There are 700+ clubs with admin and staff at the moment that every year enter the FFA cup and they do not currently spend anywhere near 6 million a year WTF?BTW start all this next year.... in February .... its easy... broadcasters will flock to us and beg to broadcast and throw 100's of millions at it... crowds will fill stadiums at every ground... Who cares who broadcasts it and what crowds will FLOCK to it.... only the parasites that see football as a way to make money... Football is a sport mate, the pyramid itself exists... just the link to a national league at the top of the tree is broken.... same shit over and over again, I could care less how much money Silver Lake stands to lose, Let JJ grow some cojones and sanction the proposed national league made up of existing NPL clubs with pro rel to state NPLs under it and state leagues under that... all the way to amateur leagues (would be great if there was a second national division underneath the championship in a few years time) and let the APL do whatever the hell it wants with its millions of dollars and crowds and family friendly full stadiums. Its unbelievably easy to do ... Yes it really is. There are 32 CLUBS, ready to kick a ball in Feb. It will be tricky for some to get the optimum squads and arrange travel and things at such short notice but the willingness is there, just let the APL and its parasites get the f#ck out of the way..... BUUUUUTTTTTT the foreign owners have other ideas about entertainment products eh? just shut up Mono, you sound stupid. Just kiss my arse huddo, you sound plastic.

Think we have problems, what was once our most popular national sport is being sued by their rights holder not to show it, using BIg Bash as an out. Seven moves to tear up Cricket Australia deal over alleged Big Bash League breachesBy Zoe SamiosJune 30, 2022 — 4.36pm Seven West Media has attempted to blow up its $450 million media rights deal with Cricket Australia, arguing in fresh court proceedings that the sporting body breached its contract and undermined the success of the Big Bash League. In proceedings filed in the Federal Court, Seven claims that CA breached its contract relating to quality and standards of the BBL, which has struggled to generate high TV ratings.“Seven’s intention is to terminate the [media rights agreement], conditional on the Federal Court granting a declaration that Seven is entitled to do so,” a statement on the ASX, approved by the board, said.

+xIn proceedings filed in the Federal Court, Seven claims that CA breached its contract relating to quality and standards of the BBL, which has struggled to generate high TV ratings . That's what happens when you have a match (or even two) on literally every day. Regardless, you can trust Channel Seven to screw a sport over for their benefit.

I think it because both on telly, and at the games, the supporter numbers went through the floor . Can be contributed to a vast range of things though, the COVID situation, more games, lack of interest, the whole sporting landscape, etc. What I do know is based off the viewer numbers they had the football numbers don't look half bad. Also wouldn't be surprised if this is a ploy to squash the amount being asked for i.e. 450 million. For what ever reason this is happening it's not to bad a situation for football it vindicates our veiwer numbers, and if there's debate over the value of the BBL, that means there will be more money out there for other sports. Besides CBS/10 holds a piece of our sport it's in there interests to see it succeed ( I wouldn't be surprised if 10 doubled down and attempted to buy into SBS's WC games)
All this being said no-one screws football like seven

Sure, but channel ten is and has been a basket case. If they used football to do it, then fair enough. To have a massive historical viewer sport like cricket being sued by their own broadcaster and partner because nobody watched it anymore is unprecedented

Tonight victory vs manchester united match replay was up within 30 minutes of it ending quickest I've seen it since they started. I'd say I'm impressed but it should be the bare minimum.
