https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_FIFA_World_Cup_broadcasting_rightsAustralia Tunisia only on Magenta TV in Germany. Magenta needs an home internet package but they may offer a streaming package for the tournament. Thankfully Austria ORF works with a VPN. I hope SBS is sound with their stream. German ARD/ZDF with vpn can help those around the world as can the Spanish RTVE or BBC iPlayer/ITV.

Some good value betting odds. Put a buck on Argentina to beat Saudi 6:0 at 34/1. It'll be interesting with a massive crowd to see if Saudi will rise to the occasion. Germany Japan is very juicy and it's 5/1 for a draw.

+xD France 6 Denmark 5 Australia 4 Tunisia 1 So you're saying Denmark will beat France and get two draws. Oz will beat Tunisia, but Denmark will only draw with Tunisia? Stranger things have happened. I reckon France will finish on 9 points and Tunisia will finish on 0. We will draw with Denmark, meaning qualification will come down to GD. I like Iran's chances of getting to the next round. It will depend on how Bale feels that morning.

The only way France don't finish on 9 is if they get off to a sluggish start in their first came (often happens with heavyweights) and we snag a point. Even a small loss would be good for us if France can clean up against Denmark. That said - I suspect your prediction is a very likely scenario

Poland normally bomb out but do well in final game.

Japan vs Spain will be a football treat. Japan's defence does seem a bit leaky at times. By that I mean most teams were able to get in there. It'll be important for Spain and Germany to finish those chances.
Japan need to attack those teams and certainly have the calibre to do it. Germany will be at risk of overstretching themselves in the Japan game I think. Another thriller.

Really looking forward to Saudi vs Argentina. Two loud sets of fans. Saudi will either play the game of their lives or Argentina will absolutely walk it.

If we fluke getting out of our group, i believe that Argentina are the most likely opponent in the round of 16. Then we get smashed. Argentina smokey for winning it all in Messi's last world cup.

I'll say Saudi's are gonna do some damage this World Cup.
They finished top of the group and are very well coached. I don't like them at all, but can't deny they have as good as shot as anyone to pull off some upsets.

Honestly looking at the groups, Qatar, Iran and Saudi Arabia have the best chances of advancing imo out of the asian teams.
Us, Japan and South Korea got absolutely fucked with our groups and each have hitter countries to contend with. Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Uruguay and Portugal between the three countries.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

just got this feeling England's going to crumble, possibly draw Iran in first game then lose to Wales at the end an miss out. Especially if USA can steal a draw.

I literally had a very similar conversation with my brother last night...... We think, below 3 groups are going to be the most "eye opening" this time around.... B _ England, Iran, USA, Wales E _ Germany, Spain, Costa Rica, Japan H _ Portugal, Ghana, South Korea, Uruguay

If Portugal & Argentina top their group & continue to win, You will see a Ronaldo v Messi final.

+xIf Portugal & Argentina top their group & continue to win, You will see a Ronaldo v Messi final. That would actually be an amazing conclusion to two incredible careers. FIFA could put that behind pay-per-view and still manage to have 3 billion viewers. Interesting though, a couple of other clashes I think would be great as World Cup Finals (haven't checked if possible, just speculating for a laugh) England v Germany Iran v USA USA v Mexico Spain v Portugal Serbia v Croatia Brazil v Uruguay USA v Canada Japan v South Korea Australia v USA

I suppose this is the general WC thread - having seen injury reports in Aussies Abroad thought this would be more appropiate reporting on others who some are key players for their NT's let alone very handy players that would have been selected........ Sorry to see them out. N'Golo Kante's lingering hopes of being fit were ended when Chelsea revealed he would be out for four months after undergoing an operation on a troublesome hamstring. The previous weekend it was Argentina's Pablo Dybala who was ruled out after suffering a freak thigh injury taking a penalty for Roma. Besides Dybala Argentina may be without PSG's Angel de Maria (thigh). In between England may have lost two right-backs, Reece James, out for seven weeks with a knee injury, and Kyle Walker, who has had groin surgery. England were already likely to be without Kalvin Phillips while John Stones and Harry Maguire have hamstring injuries. The news about Kante came just as French hopes were rising after Paul Pogba resumed training with Juventus on Tuesday after knee surgery. However, like compatriot Wesley Fofana (knee) he faces a race against time to be fit. Coach Didier Deschamps welcomed the news, but cautioned: "Before thinking about whether I call him up, he must be healed."" Elsewhere Brazil have lost Liverpool's Arthur Melo (thigh), the Netherlands will be without Roma's Georginio Wijnaldum (broken leg), while Germany are fretting over Dortmund's Marco Reus (ankle) and Bayern's Leroy Sane (thigh). Among the other names that can be added to the roster of absentees are Barcelona's Ronald Araujo (Uruguay, thigh operation), Brighton's Jakub Moder (Poland, knee ACL), Wolves' Neto (Portugal, ankle) and, probably, club teammate Raul Jimenez (Mexico, groin). Australia's Nathaniel Atkinson is awaiting the results of a scan after rolling his ankle playing for Hearts last week - we wait and see. Hrustic out right ?
LFC's/Portugals Jota gone just the other day.
Could imagine how you feel missing out, such timing not.
Those numbers are adding up with a month to go yet.
Love Football

I'd be curious to see a list of each tournament and the players who missed it due to injury. Eventually we'll see the injured 11 and the missing 11 with the like of Salah and Haaland.
Marco Reus is cursed at tournament time.
