+x+xGoal McGree. Get him off now please. Madison did his hamstring for Leicester today. What a fkn hit! McGree's level at Boro is at an all time high, definitely should play heavy minutes at the WC. Nice. I'll find some footage.

Just doing some wiki browsing. Young Matt Dench is at Charlton reserves. 18 year old defender. Could be worth keeping an eye on.

Just hilarious how only a fortnight ago McGree was apparently the worst in a Boro shirt according to many of their fans.

Could be McGree's breakout tournament and take that 10 position and make it his own. Crazy all the talk about Langerak and the keepers yet Bouzanis is playing at the highest level of all em haha

Some Celtic fans comments on twitter hurt me "Japan must be a fantastic team not taking Hatate to the world cup, but poor Australia must be so desperate taking Mooy with them"
Why Celtic hating our best player Mooy so much?!!

Because Mooy doesnt do much other than pass. He doesn’t dribble, score, tackle or show much flair. He isn’t fast or particularly strong, or aggressive. His value to the team is helping to control and dominate possession in midfield. He achieves that with high pass completion rate, decent first touch and staying busy. But in a team like Celtic, they are going to dominate possession anyway, but when they struggle to create much or score goals, due to his lack of graces in other areas inevitably he will get blamed. His value to the NT is infinitely higher because against higher quality teams without him our midfield will completely fall apart.

Spotlighting some of the younger guys. Both Watts and Brook started for Morecambe and Crewe respectively. Both played about 70 minutes.
Kuol started but only played 45 for VFB 2.
Peupion played 90 for Brighton 2.

Lmao at celtic forum morons 😂 On 1 hand they love Ange but on other hand they hate Mooy - despite the man they love in Ange selects Mooy game after game?! Ange must be the wrong coach for celtic i guess celtic fans also probably jealous that Scottish NT not in WCUP but crappy Mooy with Australia is 😜

Carrick quotes on McGree: https://the-near-post.com/2022/11/13/mcgrees-stunner-needed-a-deep-breath-to-appreciate-says-boro-boss-carrick/ “It’s a special time for him and to score a goal like that at any moment in your career is certainly one you’ll remember,” Carrick told reporters. “It was one of them where the ground falls silent for a second because everyone has almost taken a deep breath to appreciate what they’ve witnessed.”

Celtic have no other player in their team that has been the best player in an EPL team (mooy being huddelsfields top 3 ever players). Mooy has a 5 star weak foot, is a dead ball specialist and yes can gather meaningful possessions all day long. Playing keepings off believe or not is a legit strategy occasionally. The SPL just play one pace all the time which is a bit against Mooy. Look Mooy isn't the same player he once was but potentially he isn't far off. He needs a good Yoga instructor to improve his flexibility. His speed is mostly about perception than reality...

Oh wow, Ashley Maynard-Brewer is starting for Charlton in League One.
This has come out of nowhere as not only is this his first start of the season, he hasn’t even been in a match day squad this season.
Very promising signs.

Looks like he just got recalled by Charlton. He's been out injured with a shoulder injury whilst with Gillingham. Apparently they rate him pretty highly so it's good to see him finally get a chance. Meanwhile Caleb Watts and Lachlan brook both started and played roughly 50 mins for Morecambe and Crewe.

Ha that's insane as I got FIFA 23 two days ago and started a career as Charlton and recalled him. No way! That's very nice reading. Normally these things don't happen particularly with that shoulder injury also. Long may he get minutes. They lost 1:0 today and by all accounts the outfield was utterly terrible. Fans seem to comment AMB has come in for the shaky MacGillvray, who I've admired since his Portsmouth days and generally keeps well. He's had a fairly long run however. BTW there's an Australian defender at Charlton reserves, Matt Dench.

Nice about AMB amongst all this aging keeper talk. Gauci is a great prospect. It's interesting but understandable that Glover hasn't been mentioned in the natural progression to the full national team.

Boyle's season is over as confirmed by Hibs. Two separate UK MRI scans couldn't pick up the ACL injury and it was the one done in Qatar that diagnosed it. https://youtu.be/WJAbZd0t23sAccording to Arnold in the press conference 5:10

+xHearts fans lamenting that despite the mistake last night, he might be too good for spl Kye Rowles I'm assuming you're talking about?! Him and Souttar def our best pairing since Sainsbury and Spira 2015, maybe even since Moore and Neill 2006. Much has been made of this squad being the weakest but I disagree.. its just young. In a few years when a few of these boys kick on to higher levels we'll look at the teamsheet and say that was a pretty good team. All of atkinson, souttar, rowles, Karacic, devlin, bacchus, kuol, mcgree are on the up in their careers and will likely go up a level.. Souttar, rowles, mcgree and kuol especially will likely end up in a top 5 league.

Yesterday was the second game ever with that CB pairing. How great is the next decade going to be? Bos and Farrell developing into left backs and Rawlins and Miller at right back. Many others around and some we've not yet heard of either.

Hmm a bit confusing. Reports say JRB recovering from August ankle injury. It would seem that ACL or bad knee injury in June for Australia wasn't so bad.
