Well, my internet chums, that was the most difficult 90 mins I have ever watched.... Serious stomach cramp the whole game..... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SOCCEROOS..... just so so so so so happy this morning... I was interstate all day yesterday, have only slept 2 hours overnight (couldnt sleep after the win) and am not even tired today.
Fucken football ....... Just so proud to be Australian today... enjoy everyone.

Not sure if this has been said as I haven't rewound the thread back to 1:30am but:
1. Souttar, Leckie, Goodwin 2. Souttar, Duke, McGree, Goodwin, Duke 3. Souttar, Duke, McGree, Leckie
That's some pretty damn consistent combinations.
Also how good was Keanu Baccus when he came on? He did what we all assumed Hrustic would and I honestly think he is a massive part of what stopped us conceding last 20

+x+xThe Iron is so hot right now. A League needs to strike as best possible. They didnt in 2006, hope this time it is different for you all. I doubt it will have a huge effect BUT it's totally differen to 2006. For one, being mid season this time there is a greater chance to capitalise. You gotta figure Melbourne City and Adelaide United will be pumping out the Leckie Goodwin marketing in 2 weeks

That list was the goal scores/assists the Baccus remark was secondary. I mentioned degenek at around 3am he was amazing

Completely ignoring the fact that they'll still be there to play in the final...

+xApparently Sydney didn't have any live sights due to local government oversights and miscommunications. Adam Peacock was checking it out on twitter. Surely they can sort something for Sunday. Thnx to Melbourne and the Roos active support group for setting sites around Australia and even in London. I call a bit of bullcrap on that. They were being begged to do it since Sunday. Considering Adelaide has already sorted something for this Sunday, they can pull their fingers out of their arse if they want to

+xWow Hats off Melbourne. Im disgusted at Sydney city council and NSW gov who have done NOTHING to get a similar live site up and running. Opera House would be the perfect spot. Imagine the aesthetics of thousands of people going apeshit with blazing flares in front of that backdrop...

+xCan anyone tell me why England/Senegal get an extra days rest to the other teams in their group?!?!?! Yes, Australia and Argentina only have 3 game break. Netherlands/USA and France/Poland have 4 day break, and England/Senegal have 5 day break! Don't know why our game isn't when the England one is and vice versa so all get 4 days. It puts us under more pressure given fairly minimal squad rotation. We've seen all outfield players now except Deng, King, Devlin and Tilio but still feel like a few of our key guys have played a lot of minutes! I'd love to see Baccus start next game. And maybe Souttar, Rowles and Wright as CB with Degenek and Behich as wing backs. I know we can't be too defensive but need to be realistic too. Amazing result for us! I'm in a bit of a state of shock. Many said (including me) no point bringing Redmayne coz won't make R16 so no shootouts anyway. Is there a chance we see Redmayne in shootout versus Argentina?!

Crowds were pretty massive after 06 a good result is probably a boost in 2k crowd averages providing we at least do a good show against argentina if we pull off a win the payoff for the a league would be even bigger

Job done they all put in but hope you guys understand my thought, water under the bridge R16 is so happy days.

Pixies are playing Sat night, so it's all set up with barrcades etc, but it would be a massive effort to install a screen on stage between midnight and 6am. Would be an epic location. Hopefully something happens.

I was re-watching McGree's scorpion kick from April 2018. and to think of the journey for him four and a half years later he's starring in the World Cup. https://youtu.be/d5zNCVDqRu4

How was that penalty he gave? What a joke. Imagine if that was given.
You might as well grab every football in australia and bury it because the game would've been mainstream dead for ten years.
For the last 15 I was worried he'd give a dumb pen to them after that

I totally agree that if we had again gone out to a contentious decision all the good will and vibes would have been lost in a flash

I honestly go to matches now thinking "I can't believe he's still playing for us". If it wasn't for the fact he's got a baby and loves the club, I think he would look at a big Asian offer.
