Wonder if FA or Apl will decide wire mesh/netting will have to be put up to separate crowds from pitch?! 😢

Can never imagine a football journalist tweeting or writing about another sport's troubles. Having said that there is definitely an element of fuckheadedness amongst supporters of certain clubs. If you're bringing a balaclava to a game you're probably not the type of person we want at the matches.

2 perpetrators turned themselves into the police
have to say i didnt expect this
shows remorse at least.
and if they are capable of remorse they are capable of not doing it in the first place if the osm policed their own culture better
now the apl will be taking toy drums from kids for the forseeable future

They don't really have a choice when everyone knows who they are.

Bucket boy turned himself in. I expect the magistrate to offer up, 'it was his upbringing which should come into question. He is a deeply misunderstood young man, a member of our society that must be mentored and given a stern warning.' He will be active at a Victory match within a month.

You need to get the terminology right BT. Rugby is short for Rugby Union. League is short for Rugby League. Gould is a League man. ;)

The more I think about this, the more I think Glover is in big trouble. Throwing a lighted flare into a crowd that includes kids is far worse than hitting someone with a bin. If any fan faces criminal charges, Glover’s action will be raised as extreme provocation.

My mrs saw footage and doesn’t want me taking our 7 year old daughter to AL games anymore because of flares been thrown etc (not that we ever sit in/near fanatics area behind goals- but still..)

You also just changed it from any game ever again to just a derby. I guess I was correct in assuming some hyperbole on your part aha

As you mentioned you sit away from the active, so have I when my 3 were younger, funny as they get older they want you sit closer as each year pass's by lol, my distance line now is far enough avoiding the beer spray at goal time lol........... I'm sure you get my drift, live long and prosper my friend with your family.

Yeah I mean I tried my hardest to not say anything because everyone can parent how they choose but the risk of being hit by a flare (especially the sideline stands) is probably way less than the risk of crossing a street or getting in a car.
But anyway if they are scared they are 100% within their rights to stop attending of course. I sincerely mean no disrespect.

This is the second time FA has issued the club with a show cause notice in 2022, after homophobic abuse was directed at Adelaide’s Josh Cavallo at the beginning of the year. In April the club was sanctioned by Football Victoria after violence between its supporters and Springvale White Eagles fans after an NPL game. And in 2021 fans hurled missiles at then-City keeper, Teagan Micah

Anyway Nrl is an ant, Football is a giant overall. Who is Bill Gauld and why does he move the Richter scale at all? In saying that, two undisciplined morons got life bans. Who will ensure they stay out? Staff at the turnstiles are not police, and just put they're hand out to get paid and go home. Is bucket boy going to do time, who knows?

I am hearing that two of the ones involved in this latest shithousery where also involved in the Lakeside incident in 2016 where they were supposedly banned for 5 years..... https://www.9news.com.au/national/melb-victory-punished-for-fans-violence/a7b7385c-53a2-4e26-a76b-b35ad298d6bb
