+xIt's Manchester United for Charlton in the next round. Team of the round too for AMB. Alongside some good names. https://twitter.com/Carabao_Cup/status/1606248582897717248

Impressive. He mad a couple of good saves during the game as well stopping the final penalty he faced.

AMB isn't as off the radar as it would seem. Hopefully the Crawley crew make way. AMB was the second keeper in Tokyo and has featured for the U23 before. Technically he's the best keeper to come out of the Tokyo squad now with all the questions surrounding Glover not to mention the vast difference in ability.

Playing league 1 keeping at his age is also no mean feat. Let's not forget he was also 2nd choice in previous seasons aswell. Hopefully he can continue getting game time and come into the Asian cup equation

I suppose this may be his break out year if the kudos he gets from the Caraboo Cup can be utilized.

Let’s hope strain can keep up his form. I thought he was unlucky not to be at the World Cup

He got the facial injury at Ross county and then shoulder injury at Gillingham this yeah before he got recalled. He would have a lot more Gametime if it wasn't for those two things.

McGowan starting against Celtic. Celtic cruising at 3:0.
Hibs Livingston on later too. Annoying how Cancar got relegated after a risky first half hour on debut to never play since then.

Mooy is absolutely on fire in this one. Just oozing class, and involved in everything.

Good to see birighitti back to starting each week hopefully his team can strengthen and start getting some results. Atkinson on bench again is a bit worrying though

Brook bench. Chapman bench for Salford. No Ogle who is now at Skunthorpe.
Rogic, McGree bench. No Luongo. Souttar starting Dougall bench in a rotation move. No Elder. This could mean a move away in Jan. Reading on tomorrow.
Burgess, AMB starting. Watts bench. No JRB. Bolton play Derby tomorrow.

He did alright against Mbappe afterall The good thing about the UK is there is plenty of football available. Big campaigns with natural rotation. I'd be much more concerned if it were leagues with fewer games and bigger benches.

AMB starting in the league now after his impressive performance in the cup. Great signs.
Yet another Roos prospect from Arnie’s Tokyo Olympics team.

Yet another Roos prospect from Arnie’s Tokyo Olympics team. Browsing over the Olympic squad my eyes light up how well the bunch has been kept together not to mention that some who didn't feature so much in Tokyo are kicking on even more now. With all that's transpired AMB is the best keeper to come out of that crop. I think also we've learned a lesson that it may not be the worst to go play a year at Ebbsfleet when you absolutely need games. Here's hoping Huddersfield go down and somehow Chapman ends up playing there.

My God Bazunu is shocking at Southampton. Ryan is still in Australia on holiday and apparently sorting a move but Southampton could do a lot worse than Maty.

Craig Gordon out for months with broken leg. Imagine Ryan at Hearts with the rest! I think their reserve keepers will get and most likely deserve a chance.

I signed up today to thank all the contributors to this thread. It's a gold mine of content and I really enjoy the updates and discussion. There's nothing else out there that digs so deep into our Aussies Abroad and it's great to read how everyone is progressing.

In other news, calcio catania, in Sicily, a team bought by Ross Pelligria and with Vince Grella as football director- they are streaking away at top of Serie D, very likely to go to Serie C next season. Serie C level could be a good level for some Aussie youngsters to develop at.
