Mate not in the anti-MSC fan club.

It's just that not that long ago, anything that was different was frown upon due to ignorance, maybe being older I remember the hurtful ways that someone who was different was crucified.
This week's theme while I understand some are not up for it, just ignore it, is my best advice. However, one's sexual preferences or even the irrelevance of ones' skin colour are & even gender are still hot topics as the big companies (including A-League) are encouraged to show awareness.

The big companies and all are just going through the motions so they don't get victimised themselves imo.
Go with the flow and avoid allegations and inuendo - lately companies I know in a very large industry are pushing the green fleet look, they hardly have anything green in their fleet but just want to show we care, marketing BS smokes and mirrors.
Big Corp play the game, tax deductable just couple more zero's added to marketing slush fund.

Mate, for what its worth I agree with you. Discrimination of ANY sort is the worst thing in our society.

I also agree with LFC above that big companies (not just Aleague) are "monetising" this new found support for social causes and it is NOT just because they believe the ideal they are pitching.

No doubt about that, you only have to look at FIFA (big Corp) & the double standards there.

There is currently a big divide happening in the world today, the woke, driven by the youth & the... well the non woke.
I'm all for cheering for Ronaldo even in the Saudi league, but I know his time has passed & anyone carrying caps that say Make Ronaldo Great again or Make America great again has lost me. Have pride in your heritage, but to say one is better than another well, especially when one bases it on colour is futile. This for me is likewise in one's sexual preferences and even their gender. Same same but different, all ok.
The days of the heterosexual white male thinking they are supreme well are numbered. If you have kids just listen to them.
Do I think it goes overboard, yes I do, but better that coupled with awareness & acceptance then the ignorance of days gone by that has held society back.

Back in my box.

I posted this in another thread last week, but given Wellington took part yesterday I'll reiterate:
It takes a serious lack of self-awareness for the APL (and the FFA for that matter) to promote equality and inclusivity when they constantly make decisions at the expense of their most committed fans.

Yet again the poor home attendances by the Western (Melbourne) United Fraudsters and Macarthur Bullsh1tters hidden in reasonable attendances at Coopers, Commbank and Allianz.

Yeah sorry, but attendances at CommBank are not reasonable. Considering they are second, will make finals for the first time in many years and are in with a big chance of hosting the GF (thanks Danny Townsend), their crowd numbers are terrible. Average of 9,200 if you don’t count the Sydney derby.

In a round where the two newest clubs are only get an attendance of 2k, the round average of 7,700 is actually a pretty good result.

Current averages represents the lowest and most uneventful period of the A-League and yet attendance is still 50% higher than the peak of the NSL.

It says something about the AL's resilience and can only get better if the APL owners get their act together.

Yep. We are consistently filling almost 70% of available seats this season.
This must be on track to be our best season in many many many years.
It's quite remarkable really I am loving it.

Same could surely be said for Sydney FC?

WSW will crack 10k average too after 10 years of being shit and you gotta figure United will too,

It's such a shame Victory have had so many issues (not all of their own making obviously).

Adelaide hasn't had a better average since the title winning season and those few years up to that season the average was massively inflated by games at Adelaide Oval vs Victory

The big shame here is that MC is not in that top 4. Best performing team for 3 seasons straight. Currently lead with over 2 wins above 2nd place with a game in hand. Can't get an average of over 6k.

Melbourne alone has almost added 2 million more ppl since the nsl highest attendances, why do you think afl/nrl crowds are now bigger compared to the 90s? Must have been the mono ethnics holding them back.
