+x+x+x+xI'm glad Strain is in he deserves it and should start. It gives Robertson a good opportunity with Mooy out. It's good to have a technically minded no. 8 to call on. It may be tempting to play Irvine and Devlin but I would only go with either or with their playing qualities. Baccus is ahead of Devlin For DM? Baccus played a more advanced mid role at the WC. Did Devlin get subbed on or start? No Did Baccus get subbed on or start? Yes And Baccus gave Messi a tackle that he felt. Yeah started in a different role. Irvines been the first choice DM for a long time. We can only guess who Arnie has next in line. It could be Baccus or could be Devlin. That hasn't been tested yet.

South Australia have produced 8 out of the 26 players playing in this squad.
Tasmania has one player.
Both states are punching well above their weight in terms of population per capita of the national population.

I'm a Victory supporter, however, I've really enjoyed watching the contributions made to the NT from Adelaide United and Central Coast Mariners in particular. I'd like to see more teams focus on that kind of development. I think it can only help improve the NT.

If i were a promising young player id be staying well away from those two black holes. If that Segecic has any brains he'll get out of Sydney FC asap.

Was he a product of their youth system too? Watching CCM the other day, I wasn't quite sure who was a product of their youth program? Which other current Socceroos, besides Ryan, is a CCM product?

It's like most atheltes and actors. Where does the credit lie? CCM definitely developed Rowles into the senior players. His CV is QAS, FFA CoE, Brisbane Roar (had no idea) Sainsbury: Perth, AIS, CCM Rogic: Tuggeranong, Nike, ANU, Belconnen, CCM Ryan: Marconi, Blacktown, CCM Jedinak: Sydney United, CCM. I'll admit I absolutely hated Jedinak in the early das at CCM. So insane and glad the man fulfiled so many of my football dreams. Duke: Basically youth while at CCM and is like a fine wine. Nowhere near the level until late in career. Triantis: Sydney FC, WSW, CCM

He played at the 2014 Brazil WC too.

The local NPL standard isn't great either. However, Nathan Atkinson is a product of Riverside Olympic in Launceston. I'm pretty sure I've coached him in camps.

I’m not sure they’ll play the big players much, too risky. I’ll go with Game 1 Redmayne Strain - Deng - Rowles - Behich Devlin Mabil - Irvine - Metcalfe - Goodwin Duke Game 2 Gauci Atkinson - Wright - Degenek - Bos Baccus Tilio - Oneill - Mcgree - Borello Cummings Cameo Ryan Souttar Robertson Kuol

You'd think Arnold would be giving Robertson more than a Cameo role. We'd like to see how good he is.

Off the top of my head Beauchamp, Jedinak, Sainsbury, Ryan, Rowles, Kuol, Rogic, Amini, Duke, Bozanic, Miller, Simon, Wilkinson all played at CCM. Many had a development leaps or played their best football there. A few of their current young players also showing promise in Farrell and Triantis.

That is a lot of national team players for a small club with a low budget.

Can't see Redmayne starting the first game. In fact he should not even be in the squad, he has been poor this season, and he is the oldest of the three and will not be around much longer in the national team (or at least he shouldn't be). I would expect Ryan to play the full first game, and probably at least start the second, with maybe Gauci given the second half. And I wouldn't expect Souttar to come to Australia and not start at least one of the games.

It's crazy considering how many kids Sydney FC is producing at the moment. Just off the top of my head their youth set up has produced Yazbek, segecic, tilio, wood, Teague, Talbot, nieuwenhof, mlinaric just in the last few years. Half those players have had to move to get a chance and they still under use the others. They're currently the best production line in Australia and they're just wasting the talent of so many youngsters. Imagine if they used youth to the extent of United and CCM.

Pristine pitches No local corporate advertising The 3 tenants (Sydney FC, Sydney Roosters and NSW Waratahs) at Allianz will have their signage removed as well. Is there signage for the various Melbourne teams at AAMI Park? If so, these will have to come down as well. And the AwFL can keep their Sherrins away as well.

Thank God for paramount because 10 play has gone hard on vpn blockers. They've retracted before so hopefully someone just flicks the switch again.
